Addiction Modern Nostalgia Fall 2016 Eyeshadows 103 Modern Nostalgia & 104 Hazy Night: Review & Swatches

Addiction is a Japanese brand I like and I’ve talked about them before.  I reviewed their eyeshadows here, here and here. Modern Nostalgia is their new Fall collection. I grabbed two eyeshadows 103 Modern Nostalgia and 104 Hazy Night. Modern Nostalgia is described as a “hazy brown with silver and red pearl”. Hazy Night is described as a “khaki with silver and red pearl”.

Modern Nostalgia is a medium cool taupe brown. It’s a satin finish and has fine silver shimmer. Hazy Night is a dusty cool medium forest green with silver pearl. It’s a satin as well. Both shades were darker and cooler than I thought. They weren’t for me. I like neutral nudes, slight warm to slight cool. I don’t do really warm or really cool shades. Modern Nostalgia is great for any taupe lover. I can see any taupe lover loving this satin shade. Hazy Night can be used in the crease or alone. Both are moderately pigmented and don’t have any issues with being streaky. They apply evenly and last like any normal powder eyeshadow.
