The December BeautyDNA subscription box theme is no more bad hair days. Read my subscription box information page for more details about BeautyDNA. This month had a Phyto Phytojoba Mask full size in it. I’ve used this mask for years so it’s not a new item for me. I love the mask, it’s moisturizing, repairing yet doesn’t weigh fine hair down. It has a light citrus scent and natural ingredients. I am currently on my third tub of it, this will be a fourth backup. Phyto makes really great hair products in general.
The disappointing thing with this month is the value of the item. It’s retail is $39 and from what I remember, BeautyDNA was supposed to be a $45 value item for $25. It might be $40 and I was wrong, but even still it falls below that mark. They are supposed to send a bonus item when it falls below that mark, which I have had happen twice, so I’m not sure why they didn’t do that this month. We’ll have to see what future months have in store for me and see if this is a trend as they are a new subscription box and when I signed up in July they were in beta mode.
