Chantecaille Philanthropy Cheek Color Grace aka Turtle

I haven’t really tried that much by Chantecaille in the past. A few eyeshadows and that’s it. The new Philanthropy Cheek Colors looked really nice and I grabbed the Turtle shade aka Grace. Details per Chantecaille:

Made using finely milled pigments that contribute to the exquisite colors and a feather weight texture that brushes on lightly and blends seamlessly, each Cheek Shade leaves a gorgeous veil of flushed color.

Sea turtles define all that is ancient and magical about our blue planet. These wondrous creatures are endangered and struggling for survival. Chantecaille is proud to support WIDECAST and their focus on saving endangered sea turtles in more than 33 Latin American and Caribbean countries. 5 percent of the net proceeds of all Cheek Shade sales will benefit the 6 charities included in the collection.

I loved the little rippled pebble look of the silver case, it’s quite exquisite. The case is small and fits easily in any pocket if you desire. I also noticed these depot easily (just push through the hole in the back and it pops right out) if you wish to put it in a palette. I love the case so much so I wouldn’t hide it by depotting it. Though they do seem to sell just the pan if you don’t want the case. You’ll notice the shimmering overspray on the turtle. This disappears after a few uses.

Chantecaille describes the color as a deep apricot. It’s more of a peachy nude pink which tends to be the type of blush shade I gravitate towards all the time. All my blushes are in this color family. This gives my cheeks a nice flush of color in a natural shade. The formula is finely milled and never dry or powdery. It’s easy to apply and blend, never streaky. It’s got a medium pigmentation, not too heavy, not too light. I use a wispy blush brush like my Chikuhodo Z-4 to apply. This lasts all day on me and it’s quite the lovely formula. I love the idea of supporting a cause as well. Have you guys tried any Chantecaille yet? Have any of these blushes on your wishlist?
