COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops Blossom: Review & Swatches

I finally caved and grabbed the COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Blossom. I stayed away for a while online but when I saw this in person and it was so pretty I couldn’t help myself. Details per Sephora:

What it is:

A bottle of ultra-concentrated illuminating and bronzing drops that allow you to customize your ideal glow with a liquid metal or sunkissed finish.

What it does:

Custom Enhancer Drops makes bringing adding a highlighting, strobing, or bronzing effect to any liquid cosmetic or skincare product easy. Add them to your favorite foundation, primer, serum, and moisturizer. Available in six universal shades, including four illuminators and two bronzers, these drops can also be used alone, even on top of powder, to create a buildable highlight or sunkissed tint. Custom Enhancer Drops were formulated with a high concentration of pearls that produce a lit-from-within glow without appearing too glittery or overdone. The more drops you use, the more luminosity you’ll get. The result is a beautiful, camera-ready, radiant finish.

Blossom is described as a soft, pearlescent pink. That’s fairly accurate. It’s a pearly, almost metallic, warm to neutral medium pink rose. It has a slight opalescent feel to it, but not in the traditional sense. It’s more of a pink rose glow. This package is a slim glass bottle with a dropper style applicator. The retail is $42 which seems like a lot. However, this is really powerful and you only need a touch.

This is a pigment packed highlighting fluid. You can add a drop to your foundation for a warm pink glow, wear under your foundation for an overall brightness and radiance, or use to highlight cheekbones and other areas after applying foundation. This works all ways you want it to.

I find this highlighting liquid has a touch of a slippery texture, it’s not an alcohol based liquid. That makes sense as it’s got jojoba oil and silicones in it. Light silicones, not heavy thick ones. It’s a moist fluid that won’t dry your skin out, but I didn’t get breakouts from it or anything. This glides across the skin with ease. This unique highlighting liquid texture makes it easy to apply over foundation on the cheekbones without removing the foundation underneath. I normally don’t wear liquid highlighters over foundation, only creams, so I don’t remove my base makeup. This product is great I have no worries of that.

I love this and would recommend it to anyone who loves pink highlighters. It’s unique enough and the texture is amazing to work with. There’s so many ways you can use it.

Suggested Usage:

-Shake well before use.
-Add one to three drops to your favorite beauty product and mix well to customize a subtle or dramatic glow.
-Apply as normal.
