Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

I thought all the gloomy rainy days were mostly behind me as the last few weeks had been gorgeous. Then there was gloomy clouds and a quick temperature drop. Hope you all stayed warm. This weeks focus is on skincare favorites as it’s way too hard to shoot makeup in this gloomy light. I thought I would focus once again on Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Body Polish. This is my all time favorite body polish. Made with coconut oil, raw sugar, bulgarian rose absolute, meadowfoam oil & vitamin E. It manages to buff my skin to a glow and leave behind enough oils to keep my skin hydrated. It’s not too heavy on the oils to leave me greasy. It’s an absolute hero product for me and I go through at least a jar a month. I haven’t bought a single other body scrub since I found this one. I’m addicted and will completely freak out if it’s ever discontinued. Review HERE.

Youth to the People just launched a Superberry Hydrate and Glow Oil and I’m super excited I got it to test (gifted by brand). It contains maqui, açaí, goji, prickly pear, squalane, jojoba and sunflower oil. I love the berry scent & velvet silky feel of the serum. It’s a definite antioxidant powerhouse oil perfect for mornings. More to come. Paula’s Choice is going to launch the Peptide Booster on the 11th. It was available to VIPs early and I got the link to shop it early via a friend on Instagram (Now when I looked to try to link it it’s pulled off the site). I love the light hydrating texture, it’s easy to add to any serum for an antiaging peptide boost. I think this will be one of my favorite products from Paula’s Choice in a long time. I want to compare this to the new Drunk Elephant Protini and see which I like the best. Two totally different textures.

I love Omorovicza and their new Magic Moisture Mist. It’s like a well rounded facial oil and mist all in one. I just talked about it recently HERE. I forgot how much I loved KYPRIS Cleansing Concentrate. It’s a light creamy cleansing balm that contains morninga, sunflower, baobab and prickly pear oils, shea butter, sodium pca, aloe, algae & blue tansy. I like it as both a first and second cleanse depending on how I feel that day. It’s also a fabulous morning cleanse. Basically you can use it anywhere, anytime. Plus it smells like a dream. I love the oil and light cream hybrid texture. I’m about halfway done with my pot and I would easily repurchase (this version was gifted). Review HERE.

I went through a third of a bottle of Zelens Power A a year or more ago. Oddly at that time I was not really into facial oils. I refused to use them in the summer or warmer months. Fast forward to now when I use a facial oil twice a day. It has made such a difference in my skin. Don’t think that just because you have combo skin you can’t wear facial oils, you just need the right one. I was given the chance to try a bottle again (thanks Zelens). Now that I’m more into oils and using this every night consistently I can see how amazing it is. The silky textured oil is actually quite powerful. I’ve come to quite like a retinol in oil. More to come on this re-review. See the original post HERE.

With all the rain and gloom this week I’ve been reaching for a deeper sea scent-Hermes Epice Marine. This spicy aquatic marine scent features: cumin, hazelnut, sesame, cinnamon, cardamom, bergamot, sea notes, whiskey, vetiver and oakmoss. The bottle is luxe with it’s leather cap. I talked about it HERE.

I have partnered with Instytutum for a giveaway of their Eye Cream & Flawless Skin Mask. Check out my Instagram page for the details. The contest is open until Friday April 13th at Midnight. I normally don’t like sheet masks. They tend to slide and not fit properly so I just find them uncomfortable to wear. The Flawless Skin Mask really surprised me. I wasn’t expecting much as usual with a sheet mask. A hydrolyzed collagen second skin mask which uses the innovative transdermal cosmetic delivery (TCD) technology that is activated by the skin’s temperature to achieve a better penetration of the highly effective ingredients into the skin. I love the base texture of this mask. It stays put and doesn’t slide which actually makes me want to try it again. This mask has two pieces which allow for a more custom fit. It left my skin super hydrated, soothed, happy and firmer.

Lastly I thought I would talk about some of my favorite style of eyeshadow brush-The large paddle lay down brush. I have a few favorites I reach for time and time again. The Koyudo BP028 was my first Koyudo purchase. The Japanese made brush is fantastic quality and it easily led to me purchasing multiple other Koyudo brushes. The Pine Squirrel hair brush is fluffy yet deposits the perfect amount of color. I talked about it HERE. Sonia G is my newest brush obsession. The Worker One brush quickly became a favorite. It’s soft, precise, more tailored in shape the some of the other large paddle shaped brushes I own & it lays down the perfect amount of pigment every time. I’m obsessed. Review HERE.

Surratt Classique Shadow Brush Grande has been a favorite of mine for years. I love the tapered tip which makes this apply a lay down of pigment super easy. I reach for it more often than almost any other eye brush. Review HERE. SUQQU makes the airiest and light brushes. The SUQQU L brush is perfect for a very light wash of color. Perfect for pigmented colors. It’s a shame it’s not available on Selfridges online anymore. US folks have to call a Selfridges counter or grab it on Harrods online. Review HERE.
