The cold weather really set in this week, we had snow in South Texas which is crazy. So I’ve been adding extra hydration into my skincare routine. I always use some kind of a hydrating serum or gel cream, sometimes both, and I tend to rotate them through or mix them up based on how I feel that day. I’ve been using YOU Skincare Essential Hydration Serum for ten days or so and I’m in love with it. It’s a lightweight slippery yet hydrating toner. It contains aloe, reishi mushroom, a form of MSM, peptides, prickly pear and cucumber. Plus more. Well done. More to come.

I’ve been familiar with the Wishtrend name but I’ve never really ventured into it. I recently grabbed the box curated by Gothamista. In it is a By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. I love acid toners. They’re more gentle than serums so they can be less irritating. This one uses mandelic acid which is made form almonds and much more gentle than glycolic. This is suitable for daily use with no irritation or redness. This one is also hydrating with Beta-glucan and sweet almond extract.

I’ve been dying to grab Vintner’s Daughter forever, I finally caved in. I’m glad I did.  Made with 22 oils this is rich but not too heavy or greasy. It’s perfect for winter or nighttime for me. I need to test this out more before I give a full review. So far testing this has been a pleasure. More to come. Votary London has also become a recent favorite brand. I haven’t had the need to test my new Blemish Rescue Oil. While it seems counter productive to put an oil on a blemish it works. This contains salicylic acid and it reduced my monthly induced blemish to nothing in two days. Granted it was a minor blemish this month as my Allies of Skin Promise Keeper was doing it’s job, but it worked. I’m excited to keep putting it to the test.

Kat Burki is one of my favorite brands. I just love everything they make. The new Retin-C-Treatment Complex is amazing. It combines vitamin C with retinol for a powerful night treatment. The texture is thin so it layers really well. I saw results form this in one week so that was impressive.

I just opened another tube of Surratt Surreal Skin Concealer so I thought I would put it in one of these posts. I wear shade 5. I love how creamy this is yet it covers well and isn’t as drying as Cle de Peau. I was a die hard Cle de Peau fan until I tried this one. This doesn’t crease either. Review HERE & HERE. I always forget how much I love the SUQQU Framing Eyebrow Liquid Pen in Camel until I pull it out. This watercolor like thin tip manages to fill in hairs with precision and ease. Plus it looks natural and it’s quick. Review HERE.

I knew the Cle De Peau Beaute Radiant Fluid Foundation O30 would be perfect for non summer months. This is fluid and insanely lightweight, yet it’s hydrating with a dry oil kind of texture plus it covers well. Bonus. Review HERE. I love a Chanel highlighter. The new Le Signe du Lion in Or Rose is no exception. This CHanel.com exclusive comes in a red case and the powder is quite nice. It’s thin and lightweight. While it looks frosty it’s pretty natural. It’s powerful so start light. More to come. Tom Ford Private Shadow – Burnt Suede is the newest edition to Tom Ford. I’ve been wearing Burnt Suede a lot. The shimmering satin neutral taupe is the perfect brown. Review HERE.
