Diana Ralys Skin Health: Flawless Skin Serum & Papaya Pumpkin Mask

Diana Ralys has been in the industry since 2004 and owns the Radiance Wellness Spa. It’s a natural skincare line, handmade in small batches. I got two items to play with the Flawless Skin Serum & Papaya Pumpkin Mask.

The Papaya Pumpkin Mask is a gel style exfoliating mask. Details per Diana Ralys:

Give your skin everything is desires through high-potency fruit enzymes. A unique blend of enzymes dissolves impurities in your pores. Cinnamon Bark extract has natural lightening properties making this mask glowing skin in a jar.

Your skin won’t look beautifully flawless and healthy unless it’s smooth and moisturized. Papaya Pumpkin Mask gives your skin everything is desires through its high-potency fruit enzyme. It’s glowing skin in a jar!

Like all of our products, the first ingredient is highly active, helping your skin experience the product’s full potential. Aloe Vera Juice quenches your skin’s thirst for hydration. Now for the long list of active fruit enzymes: Papaya, Mango, Pomegranate, Starfruit, Passionfruit, Kiwi, Mangosteen, Pineapple, Lychee, Indian Jujube and Guava. This unique multi-fruit enzyme blend dissolves the oil in your pores alleviating congestion and future breakouts. This is essential to use after your physical exfoliation.

Cinnamon Bark is known to have natural skin lightening properties relating to its capacity to inhibit tyrosinase activity. Tyrosinase is a copper-containing enzyme that plays in key role in melanin production. Cinnamon Bark has natural tyrosinase inhibiting properties that restrict the process of melanogenesis (pigment production), essentially aiding in the prevention of hyper-pigmentation.

Directions Use this mask twice a week (or as directed) to naturally brighten skin, even out tone, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as prevent and fight break outs. Use after physically exfoliating your skin with Enzyme/Charcoal Microfoliant or Glowing Skin Treatment.

Ingredients

Aloe Juice, Papaya, Mango, Pomegranate, Starfruit, Passionfruit, Kiwi, Mangosteen, Pineapple, Lychee, Indian Jujube and Guava Enzyme Extracts, Guar Gum, Cinnamon Liposome, Leucidal, Pumpkin Essence, Clove Essential Oil.

This mask is a gel style exfoliating mask. It has the enzymatic exfoliants like papaya and pumpkin combined with natural alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) from fruit extracts. This mask does what it says. It exfoliates mostly from enzymes and natural fruit acids at a 30% strength. It does however have a good amount of cinnamon and clove oils/extracts. It’s got a pretty strong scent like those two ingredients.

The first time I used this I was OK with it. Normally strong clove and cinnamon really bother me. I was surprised it didn’t irritate me the first time. The second time I used this I could only keep it on for about three minutes before I absolutely had to wash it off. The clove and cinnamon were just too strong for me. It was stinging and burning. I expect a certain amount of stinging from acid products and I am no stranger to acids. The acids seemed fine, it might have only those two ingredients. I normally can’t do clove and cinnamon. I’ve had this issue with multiple brands and products because of those two.

Whether or not this works for you will be based on your sensitivity to those two oils/extracts. This should be a once a week kind of treatment due to the strength. Your tolerance to acids will help dictate that as well.

The Flawless Skin Serum is an acid serum. Details per Diana Ralys:

As the name depicts, whether you are struggling with breakouts, uneven skin texture, or fine lines and wrinkles this serum is your savor. This is our version of “retinol”, retexture your skin without drying it out.

Is it possible to have a highly nourishing yet exfoliating product? YES. Flawless Skin Serum is just that. The base of this serum is fermented Sea Kelp, which is high in iodine, mineral and antioxidant content that helps moisturize and soften the skin to retain its moisture. Given it’s fermented, it naturally preserves the product and makes it bio-active, allowing your skin to absorb it more efficiently. Sea Kelp combined with Hyaluronic Acid gives your skin the boost of hydration it craves.

A mix of botanical extracts deliver five natural AHAs to the skin: Lactic Acid (from Bilberry), Glycolic Acid (from Sugar Cane), Citric Acid (from Orange and Lemon), and Malic and Tartaric Acids (from Sugar Maple). These AHAs help treat skin conditions such as rough skin, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Recognized for having exfoliating properties, AHAs leave the skin with a smooth and radiant appearance.

Derived from the acid-blend we use in our HydroRenewal Treatment, Flawless Skin Serum is perfect to help maintain your results between facials. It hydrates, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, as well as helps fight breakouts. It’s ideal for all skin types, especially those that are mature, dry and/or acne prone.

Directions On clean skin apply a pea sized amount daily, PM.

Ingredients

Fermented Sea Kelp, Multifruit Enzymes (Bilberry, Sugar Cane, Orange, Lemon, and Sugar Maple), Hyaluronic Acid, Fir needle essential oil, Tangerine Essential oil.

This is an acid serum. It combines natural fruit acids with hydrators like sea kelp and hyaluronic acid. This is a 20% strength AHA serum. Orange and lemon give you citric acid (weak acid, hydrates, astringent, pH adjuster). Bilberry extract is a vegan form of lactic acid (more gentle than glycolic, hydrating). Sugar cane is a natural form of glycolic acid (gold standard acid for exfoliation).

This has a light gel texture and smells like citrus. I find this one potent but quite tolerable. It actually surprises me how this is such a potent acid concentration yet it’s not harsh at all. If you want a great once  week acid treatment this is it. This is more tolerable than the mask for me. It also doesn’t have the clove and cinnamon oils/extracts. Acids will help exfoliate, resurface the skin improving texture and evening the skin tone. It increases cellular turnover resulting anti-aging effects.

Diana Ralys has a few things that really stand out to me. The Oxygen Plasma, Cell Regenerating Gel, Hydra Nourishing Gel & Flawless Skin Serum. Next year I might try out the other three serums as they sound quite nice. They have an extensive line for everyone but I’m always drawn to the serums.
