The Estee Lauder X Victoria Beckham collection is back, now with a new lipstick shade-Nude Spice. Nude Spice is a matte shade. Details per Estee Lauder:
Create a polished lip with Nude Spice Matte, the perfect nude with a matte finish.
The lipstick is slim and small covered in a black metal case with a scalloped design. The formula for Nude Spice is a comfort matte. The formula is much like Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution and other comfort mattes. It’s not drying at all, hydrating enough to be comfortable. Yet it still has the staying power of a matte. I can get about 4 hours of wear before I feel the need to touch up. The pigmentation is good and it’s very creamy.
Left is the original Brazilian Nude, right is Nude Spice. Brazilian Nude is sheer, glossy and warm. Nude Spice is deeper, cooler, matte and pigmented.
Nude Spice is a creamy medium pink nude with a cool undertone. It retails for $45, a hefty price for a lipstick. It’s a nice formula in a stylish, chic package. I was so thinking Nude Spice would be the perfect nude for me. One of the things I notice on these comfort mattes is that they dry darker and cooler than when first applied. So while Nude Spice is a great shade of nude pink for me freshly applied, it dries to this darker cooler tone that I don’t like. You can see Pillow Talk is pinker, and Very Victoria is a bit more nude, but is actually the closest to Nude Spice. Maybe I’ll get my perfect Estee Lauder X Victoria Beckham shade next round.
