February Samples & Empties

Time for the February Samples & Empties Post. Quick thoughts about each starting above left to right:

Deciem The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%: This is nice, cheap hydrating serum. Review here.

Deciem The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2%: I love the melon scent to this, but it was a bit too mild for me. Review here.

Omorovicza Oxygen Booster: Love this. Review here.

Fresh Sugar Face Polish: Staple for a very long time. I talked about it some here. It’s a Hero Product for me.

Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Body Polish: Staple Hero Product. Absolutely adore it. Review here.

Peter Thomas Roth Acne-Clear Invisible Dots: Love these type of overnight blemish reducers. Review here.

Bliss High Intensity Hand Cream: This was OK. It wasn’t high intensity really, kind of lighter a tad bit greasy but didn’t last all night.

Phyto Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask: I’ve used multiple tubs of this. It’s a nice mask. Hydrating yet isn’t too much and doesn’t weigh my hair down.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Lait Veloute: I was using this as my neck and arm sunscreen. I didn’t finish it, but that’s only because it expired before I could use it all. The texture was nice a velvet lotion. I talked about it some here and here. I think this is discontinued now.

NIP + FAB No Needle Fix Serum: I was really into this at first, but after 3 bottles it’s time to move on and try something new. Review here.

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion Cocoa Butter: Love this. Not quite as hydrating as I need for winter months, but doable. Review here.

Swell Ultimate Volume Conditioner: Love this line. It worked well and wasn’t drying. I would rebuy a full size for sure.

Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum: Love this stuff. I am branching out to try a few new acids, but this one always has a special place for me and is still a Hero Product. It’s just hard for me to stick with one thing all the time. I have to venture out now and then. I talked about it here and here.

Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream: I so wanted to love this as I love all things Drunk Elephant. However, it was too heavy for me. This is good for dry skin or a dry climate/normal skin.

Sisley Paris Confort Extreme Day Skincare: I liked this one. It had no scent really, and the hydration was good. A basic, yet pricey medium hydration moisturizer.

Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream: Love this. The cucumber scent is intoxicating. I have a full size to work on. More to come.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum: Staple, Hero Product. Love the oil based texture that clings. Talked about it here.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream: This is always nice. It used to be my staple night hand cream until I discovered Alpha-H.

Sisley Paris Restorative Facial Cream With Shea Butter: This one was OK. A bit heavier than the above and fragranced more like perfume. I liked the Confort Extreme Day Care better.

Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior: This was OK. Like a thicker, slippery, hydrating serum with a feel of light silicones. Wasn’t quite what I thought it would be.

MAC ‘In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara: This wasn’t bad, voluminous, a synthetic wand I liked.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara: I liked this, it was voluminous. It does dry out fast.

Sisley Paris Instant Perfect Perfecting Skin Corrector: This was an average primer. Slight pink tint, thicker, some silicones.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance: This was too moist for me. Too sticky. I could see it working well for more glitter style shades.

Ormonde Jayne Rose Gold EDP: Love this. A warm rose amber scent.

La Mer The Treatment Lotion: This is a moisturizing toner. It’s nice.

Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm: This is a thicker style primer. It has silicones, faint pink shimmer, it’s moisturizing not greasy. I had no breakouts from use.

Kane NY Serum Savant Primer: This felt like a serum, it didn’t do much as a primer. I prefer the serum.

Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher Conceal & Treat Stick #4: I swear this was lighter in person, but it is too dark I need #3. It’s a nice light yet pigmented formula. I did finally grab #3 to try.

Sephora Express Eye Makeup Remover Wipe: These are OK. A little dry. I can’t find them on Sephora anymore, maybe discontinued?

Sisley Paris Eau De Soir Perfumed Bath And Shower Gel: Eh, this is OK. Too perfumed and overpriced for what it is.

La Prarie Skin Caviar Essence-in Lotion: This is a nice moisturizing toner.

R+Co Bel Air Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner: This is a nice smoothing shampoo &conditioner.

Phyto Phytocitrus Color Protect Radiance Mask: I liked this. It was a good mask, extra moisture but not the really heavy type of mask.

Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Exceptional Mask: This was a nice mask. A little too heavy for me, but for dry hair it’s great.
