I love Fresh’s sugar line of products. So I usually try anything new from the line when it comes out. The Advanced Therapy Nourishing Lip Balm came out recently. It’s a pot balm versus all the stick balms they usually make.
Per Fresh’s website: “A moisturizing lip treatment infused with a refreshing sugar mint flavor that smoothes and softens for younger-looking lips. Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm Advanced Therapy smoothes and softens for younger-looking lips. The moisturizing formula is infused with a refreshing sugar mint flavor and wild mango butter to help protect and soften dry lips.” The retail is $30 for a 0.24 oz jar.

- Sea fennel extract helps to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and define the lip area.

This is a thicker balm, it has a creamy white pink look but goes on clear. There is a hint of very tiny pink sparkles in it, but you have to look at it in the light to see it. It has a sweet mint taste and scent. The mint is faint compared to some stronger mint lip balms, but it is stronger than I would like. This does not have the nasty aftertaste that the regular Advanced Therapy stick balm has. So that’s a bonus.
The texture is thicker, creamy and almost buttery. It gives a glossy sheen. Sadly it’s a bit too tacky or sticky for me. It’s comfortable to wear and the longevity is good. It lasts almost all night, but not fully. I didn’t notice any real extra plumping besides the usual moisture boost I get from regular balms. I personally didn’t like it, I can see many liking it. It was too sticky for me sadly.
