I have tried many foundation primers. However, the moment I tried Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, I never tried another. I had found a keeper. It’s a mineral based primer, so it absorbs oil through the day. It’s not greasy and has SPF 15 with physical blocks. It looks white, but does sheer out to not give a white cast. It gives you a satin feel. It also does not clog my pores like some of the clear thick primers. The best part is that it really does absorb oil through the day.
It comes in 3 sizes, I was buying the 1 oz pump. It’s pricey at $52 but does last a fair amount of time. You only need one pump for your face. My main gripe with the pump is that it doesn’t get the last 10% out of the glass bottle. I have to turn it upside down and open it everyday to get the last bit out. Recently they introduced a large 2 oz squeeze tube which is a vast improvement in design, plus you will save $30 this way as it’s only $72 for 2 oz.
I tried to show the way it looks then sheered it into my hand below so you can see it doesn’t look white.
