Jordan Samuel Skin The After Show Balm Cleanser

This is a long overdue post about a great product. Jordan Samuel Skin was a new brand discovery of mine last year. The After Show Balm Cleanser was a new release late last year. I’ve been using it for months and just haven’t gotten around to the single post. This was the first real balm cleanser I had purchased as I was really never into them. I loved cleansing oils & gel to oil balms more. Now I have almost a dozen cleansing balms as I’ve really come to enjoy them. Details per Jordan Samuel Skin:

Because all the world’s a stage, The After Show Balm cleanser is the ideal first step in preparing your skin to glow in the spotlight.

A cleanser made for the active-ingredient user, The After Show Balm cleanser uses olive oil and olive-based squalane to cleanse the skin gently and deeply, while rinsing clean to give your skin a truly natural glow.

Directions With dry hands massage a small amount of product into dry skin to break down makeup, SPF, dirt and grime, concentrating on areas of congestion. Remove by rinsing clean or using a warm wet washcloth.

I love the simplicity of ingredients and decent price of this balm. Jordan Samuel Skin has a great line up that’s priced reasonably. The texture is a medium weight-not too soft nor too hard. Some balms are harder and more oily in texture. This one is not. It’s mixed with an emulsifier so it rinses clean without a cloth. You can very well use a cloth if you desire, I do as I just prefer a flannel even with a cleanser that can emulsify. This balm is a dream as it smells like cucumber (one of my favorite scents in skincare) and removes makeup with ease.

This has a simple inci list-olive fruit oil, squalane, jojoba esters, sunflower seed and mimosa flower wax & cucumber fruit extract. This will clean your skin simply and never leave it dry or stripped. This can double duty as a hydrating balm you leave on overnight. I tried it once which was OK, but not my preferred way to use this. I have a few face balms I just happen to like more. If you want a cleansing balm that emulsifies and gets the job done all at an affordable price with small inci list then this balm is for you.

Jordan Samuel Skin does make another oil based cleanser. The After Show Treatment Cleanser (formerly known as Plié) is a gel to oil style. I actually prefer that one of the two and if I only had to have one it would be Plié. The After Show Treatment Cleanser is a hero product for me and while this balm is nice I probably wouldn’t repurchase as I’ll just grab more of the Plié. Review HERE if you’re interested.
