Kanebo Sensai Deep Moist Shine & Lasting Treatment Rouge + Koh GenDoMaifanshi Lipstick Review

I love Japanese brands. I swapped for these two Kanebo Sensai lipsticks and recently bought a Koh Gen Do Lipstick to meet my minimum in the Barney’s recent beauty event.

L to R: Kanebo MS105, Kanebo LT01 and Koh Gen Do BE01:

Top to Bottom: Kanebo MS105, Kanebo LT01, Koh Gen Do BE01:

I have two different types of Kanebo Sensai lipsticks. I have a Deep Moist Shine Rouge in MS105 Wakakaede which is a sheer, moisturizing, shimmery mauve pink. It’s sheer, moisturizing and not glittery but is shimmery. It’s perfect for me. It’s complex and hard to show that in the photos. It doesn’t pull warm or cool on me.

Next I have a Lasting Treatment Rouge in LT01 Urayamabuki which is a pigmented shimmery pink nude. This has a thinner style lipstick compared to the Deep Moist Shine. It’s also much more pigmented. However, it is not drying and is moisturizing. This is not a matte long last formula, it’s just more of a pigmented style which lasts longer than a basic sheer glossy lipstick.

Last is the Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Pink Beige BE01 I got to meet the Barney’s requirement for the beauty bag. It’s a sheer glossy pink beige. It’s more neutral pink than beige. This is a typical shine type sheer lipstick. Which is my favorite style. It has a slight bit of shimmer in it but it’s not really noticeable on the lips. After Wearing this for a while though I notice it is drying like MAC Lustres and other similar lipsticks. It was disappointing.
