Let Me Introduce You to Su-Man Skicare

Su-Man Skincare is a British brand of natural skincare. It’s no secret I’m fascinated with British skincare brands. I don’t know why but the ones I have found I just love. I get a lot of them off of Cultbeauty a UK retailer. They have sales and coupons if you sign up for their newsletter. The price listed on the website are with VAT tax, which we don’t pay here, so once you add it to your cart and enter a US address the price decreases.

They have a sampler kit with 3 minis. That was what I tried first. It has a mini serum, facial polish and cleansing gel-oil. Everything I have tried by Su-Man has been amazing.

The Purifying Gel-Cleanser is similar to the OSKIA Renaissance cleanser which I reviewed already. It’s an oil based gel texture cleanser. So it cleanses like an oil, but rinses off better with water and no washcloth needed. It’s a thick off white oil water hybrid gel, it has no big scent and rinses clean without stripping. I tend to double cleanse now and use a foam or other cleanser after. This stuff was so good I bought a full size after using the mini. This has sunflower seed oil, apricot kernel oil, wheat protein, rose hip oil, salicylic acid, sodium hyaluronate, rosemary extract, sea water, Dragon’s Blood extract, raspberry and wintergreen extract. I was worried about the wintergreen as I don’t like menthol type products in my skincare, but I can’t even tell honestly. No cooling effect on the skin. It has a twist open cap on the bottom that controls the mess.

Next in the set was the Exfoliating Facial Polish which has coffee grounds as the physical exfoliant. Way to wake up in the morning more than one way with coffee. This is an exfoliating polish, but it also has an oil gel like texture. This has sunflower oil, coffee seed powder, castor oil, cocoa extract, vitamin E, babassu palm oil, rose hip oil, chamomile extract, brown seaweed extract, Dragon’s Blood extract, White Lily and camu camu extract. This is more oil like than the other cleanser. It’s smells like coffee, is not a harsh exfoliator, and is fun to use coffee in the morning for a new purpose. This has the same cap as the gel cleanser.

The last in the set was the Velvet Skin Brightening serum. This separates and you need to shake it up before use every time. It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper. This has an almost gel texture mixed with oil. It has hyaluronic acid, camu camu extract, sacha inchi oil, Dragon’s Blood extract, glycosphingolipids, phospholipids, cholesterol, vitamin E and Tranexamic acid which is anti inflammatory and evens skin tone. It’s not oily, it feels silky and absorbs fast.

After the set I decided to try the Awakening Eye Lift and the Velvet Skin Cream. The eye cream has a gel cream like texture and is light and easy to absorb. It has rice powder, sunflower seed oil, rose hip oil, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin E, Dragon’s Blood extract, rosemary leaf extract, spirunella extract, Eyeliss and Haloxyl peptides. It’s nice, it’s not too heavy, I layer it under my day cream more like a serum. It could be enough for you if you don’t have dry eyes, I have dry eyes and it’s not enough alone for me. It has a calming feel. It is in a jar and I wish it came in a pump to keep it from getting exposed to air everyday.

The Velvet Skin Moisturizing Cream is a gel cream as well. It absorbs quickly and has a light texture. It is pretty moisturizing for a gel cream, I’m pleased with it. It’s also calming as well. I don’t have to wear anything over it, it is enough moisture for me in the current dry almost winter weather here, yet it also was not too much in the summer either. It has shea butter, jojoba oil, rose hip oil, rice powder, Sodium PCA and sodium hyaluronate, Dragon’s Blood extract, sunflower seed oil, rosemary extract, raspberry extract, sea water, Matrixyl 3000, Padinami(brown seaweed) and Riboxyl. This comes in a jar, I again wish it was in a pump.

On top is the Velvet Skin Cream, with the Eye Cream below:

Check out their site with ingredient list here. I’ve tried everything in their current line up right now and it’s all pretty good stuff, no nasty ingredients. It would be hard for me to pick a favorite if I only had to get one. The face cream, toner(reviewed recently in another post) and gel cleanser are high up there for favorites though.
