Time for the May Samples & Empties Post. Quick thoughts about each starting above left to right.
H2O+ Black Sea Body Cream: Sticky, heavily scented, not really hydrating. I wouldn’t buy again. I reviewed it here.
Oskia Get Up And Glow: This serum has some slip and has a fine pink pearl which adds a glow. I like the glass bottle, my pump stopped working halfway which was a pain. I haven’t gotten around to writing a review yet. I would try it again one day because I love the ingredients.
Bumble & Bumble Creme de Coco Conditioner: Love the faint coconut scent. It’s nice, a bit too heavy for my hair. If you like one that leaves your hair pretty glossy and hydrated you might try this. I prefer the now discontinued Masque more, it’s as hydrating but less glossy and didn’t weigh my hair down.
Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti Aging Vitamin C+ Serum: I’ve tried this before. Has a sweet food scent to it. It’s a small sample and like all smaller samples it’s hard to really tell if it works. I still prefer my Drunk Elephant C-Firma.
Fresh Soy Conditioning Eye Makeup Remover: This is OK. It’s a thicker lotion style remover. It’s gentle except it slightly stings my eyes. I wouldn’t buy a large version. I prefer Bioderma Sensibo.
Drybar Bay Breeze Hydrating Shots: This is an odd style as an in-shower spray, it took forever to spray it in the shower, I ended up just dumping it into my hand and applying it. It gave a nice hydrating slightly glossy effect. I really liked it. It didn’t weight my hair down.
Oskia Super 16 Pro Collagen Super Serum: Thin, slight floral scent. It’s nice. I’m not 100% I would buy it again because of the stronger scent. I haven’t reviewed it yet.
La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream: I’ve talked about this multiple times on here. I like this cream. It’s much better than the original, less heavy and greasy.
Sunday Riley Tidal: I wanted to love this, but it has such a strong powdery floral scent, unlike Sunday Riley’s normal scents, I can’t stand to use it for that reason alone.
Oskia Super 16 Pro Collagen Super Serum: See above.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye: I liked this. Has a slight silicone feel. Not too heavy or greasy, nor too light. It was too small to give it a full test and review.
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum: This used to be my go to vitamin C serum. I like it. I like my Drunk Elephant C-Firma better, but I bought many bottles of this first. It’s a good mid priced vitamin C serum.
bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream #5 Natural: This was a touch thick for me. I was thinking it would be sheerer. Shade #5 was a bit too light for my skintone around a NC25-27. I prefer my Omorovicza Complexion Enhancer more.
Erborian Bamboo Creme Frappee: This is a gel creme with a slightly mattifying effect. I liked it for my t-zone.
Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum: I liked this, plus it’s full of green tea seed extract. I bought a full size bottle which I haven’t started using yet.
Paula’s Choice Resist Ultra-Light Antioxidant Serum: I’m on my second tube now. It’s cheap with a good ingredient list. I add extra vitamin C to this by using another serum.
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara: Very black, lengthening and thickening. Almost too much for a day look at a conservative job. I like it, but with my job not sure I could use it in the day and so I’m not sure I would buy a big one. But if you love falsies try it, it’s nice.
REN Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift: I didn’t really notice anything from this honestly.
