November Samples & Empties: Part 1

Time for the November Samples & Empties Post. I split this month into Part 1 and 2. Quick thoughts about each starting above.

Kat Burki Hand Therapy: I loved this. It’s thick but not greasy or too heavy. It leaves for perfectly hydrated hands & actually hydrates quite well. This smells like the usual Kat Burki products which I call cucumber dream. It was nice for day use as it really hydrated yet wasn’t too much. However it wasn’t quite enough for night use for me, I started out using this that way.

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion: This was OK. I like innisfree & I love green tea. I want to explore innisfree more next year. This lotion was super light, great for oily to combo skin. I have combo skin but it was a touch too light for me. I ended up re-purposing this as a body lotion. It was great at that and it’s affordable. It looks like when innisfree made a US site (just a few months ago) this didn’t get carried over to it. Might still be available on the non-US site.

January Labs Moisture Balancing Lotion: Loved this. It’s light yet quite hydrating. Minimal great ingredients. I actually loved it for my toddlers face in the daytime. I just bought a second tube for that purpose. Review HERE.

Zelens PHA+ Bio-Peel: I so wanted to love this as Caroline Hirons does. It has amazing acids and is a great all around product. I hate the alcohol content in this one. It’s really high the actual product actually smells like alcohol. Some alcohol containing products don’t have that scent really. The alcohol content of this formula was a bit irritating. Otherwise it’s an amazing product. I have a review coming next month.

Tata Harper Rebuilding Moisturizer: I loved this. It’s lightweight and more hydrating that I thought it would be. It’s a really nice lotion. A little pricey but that’s about it. Love the green glass pump as always. Review HERE.

Omorovicza Gold Eye Lift: I love Omorovicza. This eye cream has retinol and gold for anti-aging. It’s hydrating enough for night use which is when I prefer to use it. Review HERE.

Omorovicza Cleansing Foam: I used to be totally in love with this stuff. Before I started using cleansing oils as my number one cleanser. This really cleans, sometimes my skin feels almost too clean after using it. It’s SLS free so the foaming comes from other ingredients. It’s not drying in a soap way. I’ve just grown in my skincare regimen and prefer to use an oil based product first usually followed by a more gentle gel style cleanser. This is still a great one, just not for me as much anymore. Review HERE.

Living Proof PHD Dry Shampoo: I wanted to like this as I try to like all Living Proof stuff. It wasn’t bad and is actually my favorite of the Living Proof line. It had a bit of a white cast which is why I didn’t like it. It’s pretty powerful as a dry shampoo. I like IGK better.

Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose: The obligatory monthly jar of this making an appearance. I go through at least one jar a month. Review HERE. Obviously I buy it again and again as you always see me posting it. Adore it to death & it’s a hero product.

HASK Hawaiian Sea Salt Conditioner: I wanted to like this but the scent was way to powdery an it was just OK anyway. It wasn’t very hydrating. I couldn’t stand the scent so I pitched it before it was even empty.

Proganix Quench Conditioner: I really like this stuff. A very light yet hydrating mask that smells like coconut water. No strong scents here. I’ve gone through a few tubes.

Chanel Rouge Coco Plumetis: I can’t believe I finished a lipstick! It’s been ages as I just have so many & I never get around to finishing one. I haven’t finished one in probably ten years since I finished a few MAC lipsticks. I’ve had Plumetis for a few years so it took me about 4 years or so to finish it. I love Chanel’s old Rouge Coco formula, I don’t like the new one as much. Plumetis was the best natural pink nude with a hint of shimmer. It is my favorite lipstick shade of all time. It was perfect for me for a daily look. I am so bummed it’s discontinued and there’s no shade in the current range that’s similar at all. I’ve looked. Luckily I had three back ups, but then I need to find a new hero lipstick.

Kat Burki Illume Brightening Serum: I liked this. It’s a gel style serum with a lovely Kat Burki cucumber scent. The sample was too small to see if it really did anything as far as brightening. Luckily I have a full one to add into rotation next year. So more to come eventually.

Yes to Coconuts Lip Balm: This is the best cheap lip balm. Hydrating, smells faintly like coconuts. It’s perfect. I will rebuy forever. It’s a hero drugstore lip balm.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence: I wanted to love this so bad because it’s such a cult item. It smells like feet and it’s was hard for me to tolerate. So sad.

Diptyque Do Son Shower Oil: This was nice. It lasted one use so I honestly don’t remember that much about it. Sounds bad but a body wash is a body wash. I don’t usually buy the expensive ones.

Odacite Ac+R Serum Concentrate: I like Odacite oils. They’re very natural. So far the wild carrot has been my favorite.

Ormonde Jayne Tolu: I can’t believe I finished a fragrance too. I own so many so it’s hard to really finish one. Tolu is my favorite Ormonde Jayne scent. It’s very niche and unique. It has a resin scent to it. Love it. I talked about it HERE and HERE.

Josh Rosebrook Herbal Infusion Oil: This was nice. I have so many oils I just got recently so I wouldn’t grab it for that reason. Doesn’t mean I won’t in the future.

EVE LOM Time Retreat Face Treatment: This was like a light cream. It was nice. It lasted less than two weeks so it was hard to say what long term effects would be. I love the Time Retreat Hand Treatment.

Omorovicza Firming Neck Cream: I love Omorovicza. However, I’ve never really seen the benefit in a neck only cream. I just use my facial products on my neck. I don’t see why a firming face serum/cream won’t work for the neck as well.

Sisley Sisleya Global Anti-Age Hand Cream: This is divine. Why is it so expensive.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Liquid & Stick: This was super lightweight, I liked it. The shades I got weren’t a match for me but I would look at it in person.

Omorovicza Firming Neck Cream: See above.

Touch in Sol No Pore Blem Primer: This was too choked full of silicones for me. I couldn’t finish it.

Derm Institute Anti-Oxidant Hydration Masque: This is a thick gel cream leave on mask. Mostly like a gel cream, called a mask. It was nice & hydrating. Packaged in single use packets which is nice.

Son & Park Beauty Water: This was nice. Essence style toner. It’s been on my wish list for a while and once I run through a few more I’ll grab it.

Blithe Soothing & Healing Green Tea Patting Water Pack: I like the idea of this in the shower more than I think I would actually use it. This was my favorite version of the three though.
