November Samples & Empties Post

Time for the November Samples & Empties post. Quick thoughts on each starting above left to right:

Elemental Herbology Bio-Cellular Super Cleanse: This was a creamy cleanser I got free with a serum, it was OK, gentle. Not what I usually prefer, I like an oil or oil balm or a non creamy cleanser. I wouldn’t buy for that reason plus it’s $52 for a tube and I don’t see it being worth that for a cleanser.

eos Shave Cream Vanilla Bliss: Love this, it’s a staple I reviewed it here.

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask: This is nice, it’s not that much more moisturizing than the regular conditioner so I wouldn’t buy it again and would just stick with the conditioner. Overall, it was like a conditioner not a mask.

OSEA Ocean Lotion: I love this, it’s a staple. Nice light yet moisturizing lotion. I briefly touched on it here.

Archipelago Botanicals Coconut Lotion: Love it, great moisturizing lotion, it’s a staple. I reviewed it here.

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse: I liked this, I love the scent more than the oil. I have some other oils I prefer more-Omorovicza, OSEA, Tata Harper. I wouldn’t rebuy it, but I did buy the perfume they came out with for the great oil beachy scent.

Michael Todd Avocado & Mango Hydrating Facial Mask: This was the only thing by Micheal Todd I actually liked. I went through quite a bit of items in their range and was disappointed by all but this. Their scents in their serums are way too strong they smell like perfume on your face. Their pumpkin mask burned like crazy from the clove and cinnamon they put in it, smelled great but wasn’t really great for your face. This is a cream moisturizing mask. It’s pretty average. I don’t like it enough to rebuy it, I have others I like more like Antipodes Manuka honey mask.

Alpha-H Absolute Eye Complex: Didn’t work for me, I reviewed it here.

Molton Brown Ylang-Ylang Body Wash: This is OK, it’s too expensive for me to buy as a body wash. This wasn’t my favorite scent I’ve tried it’s too floral.

Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner: This was OK. Smells nice, was moisturizing a touch. I prefer some other toners I have more such as Omorovicza & Tata Harper.

LING Skincare Triple Action Exfoliator: Wasn’t a fan of this, reviewed it here.

Omorovicza Copper Peel: Love this, uses lactic acid. It’s a medium strength peel, not too much not too little. The green base has oil in it so this is non drying as well. I have more and would rebuy.

Make Up For Ever Smoothing Primer: This was OK, feels like a silicone primer though no ingredient list is on it. I prefer Sunday Riley’s primer for a silicone primer, it’s thinner and feels more breathable.

Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base: Eh, it was OK. It has a faint luminous appearance not too much on that end, it was a moisturizing layer like I would get from an Armani Fluid Sheer, I didn’t get any real benefit as far as making my makeup last longer. It just added some moisture and a glow.

Mila Moursi Triple Actif Anti Wrinkle Cream: I liked this, nice texture. A good medium cream, not too heavy nor light. Absorbed fast and no breakouts or irritation. Too small of a sample to really see if it did much as far as anti aging.

La Mer the illuminating eye gel: This was OK. I didn’t notice much from it other than some moisture like an average gel eye cream. I wouldn’t buy a full size version.

Kat Burki Rose Hip Revitalizing Serum: I’ve used this product multiple times and never really notice anything from it. It’s really quite expensive too. I don’t like how it takes longer to rub in than other serums. I wouldn’t buy a big version and I’m probably done trying the samples I get when I do get them.

Korres AntiAging Primer: This is OK. I had a full size tube ages ago before I switched to the Hourglass primer years ago. I feel it made the most difference in wrinkles for me more than being a primer really. It is a moisturizing light cream. It feels more like skincare than really doing much for your makeup. I wouldn’t rebuy but if you want some skincare extra benefits and just need an extra boost of moisture there you go.

111 Skin Space Defense Bright Eye Lift Gel: This was a thin gel, didn’t really notice much from it and it didn’t give me any real moisture, I needed an eye cream for sure after this. I wouldn’t buy a big bottle especially since it’s really pricey.

Hurraw! Coconut Lip Balm: I love this small brand. Great ingredients and from Montana(having just moved from there I like giving them some support). It’s a nice lighter lip balm, slight oil feel like Fresh Sugar balms. Not waxy or heavy. No big taste, cheap at around $3 and all natural. Scents are subtle and not overpowering in these balms.

Kate Somerville Contouring Eye Serum: Was a small sample I didn’t get any benefit from it. Was a thin gel. Too hard to decide if I would buy it but probably not as I have others I like right now.

Wish Formula Panda Eye Essence Mask: These are sheet style eye masks, I’ve used several of them in the past. It’s moisturizing and my eyes feel revived after use. I just hate the wearing process with sheet style masks, feels like it’s constantly falling off my face when I wear it.

OSKIA Bedtime Beauty Boost: I liked this cream, it was really moisturizing without being too heavy and greasy. I would consider buying a full size one day as I love the ingredient list. I have a ton of jar creams to work through right now first.

Radical Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads: These are OK. Uses salicylic acid. I prefer my glycolic and lactic acid peels over pads so I wouldn’t buy for that reason.

Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths: These were oddly soapy feeling, they were OK but for the price and that I don’t really use cloths to remove makeup(only for swatching) then these aren’t worth buying for me. It left a bit of that residue on me too.

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Facial Wipes: These are cheap and work well. I use them for swatching mostly. I don’t really use them to clean my face with anymore, I used to 5+ years ago. They work OK for removing makeup, they don’t really take it all off.
