November Samples & Empties

Time for the November Samples & Empties Post. Quick thoughts about each starting above left to right.

Farmacy Skin Dew: This was OK. It had a very strong scent, a very pine deep scent. It was a bit too Earthy and deep for me. It was hard for me to get past the strong scent.

Rahua Shampoo & Conditioner: I love this stuff. It hydrating without silicones or being greasy. It has the best nutty sweet scent. It doesn’t weigh my hair down yet hydrates. And it’s natural with great ingredients. I will rebuy.

Whish Sugar Scrub Coconut: This was terrible. I reviewed it here. First item in a long time I was just done with this halfway through without finishing it. It was so greasy and hard to rinse off the scrub part.

Yes! Nurse Protect Your Lovely Hands: Loved this. I’ve used this hydrating yet not greasy hand cream before. Now it comes in a large pump. Win win. I talked about it here.

Archipelago Botanicals Body Wash Coconut: I love this. Nice light natural coconut scent. I reviewed it here.

OSKIA Renaissance Mask: My favorite exfoliating mask. I buy it a lot. Please never stop making it. I reviewed it here and here.

Herbivore Moon Fruit Night Treatment: I so wanted to love this. I love Herbivore products. The first night I used it I was impressed. I woke up with great skin. Then I started to break out from it. It has a strong scent. Fruity yet Earthy and musty. Reminds me of something that I can’t describe. It’s hydrating, but almost too much, but it’s intended to go under a moisturizer. I used this in place of moisturizer and it was still too much. It did give a glowing skin effect.

Tata Harper Rejuvinating Hand Cream: Love this. Squeezed out every last drop. I reviewed it here. I would buy again.

Sisley Supremya At Night: This was OK. A really hydrating cream. Too small of a sample to test it’s full capabilities. I think I got 3 nights out of this tube. This is ridiculously expensive. For most likely no really good reason.

Sisley Botanical D-Tox: This was nice, I liked it. It’s a creamy serum. I’d like to try a larger size of it. Hard to tell it’s full capabilities without a bigger size.

Arcona Magic White Ice: This was a nice gel cream. Light scent, I’d try a big version.

Algenist Splash Absolute Hydration Replenishing Gel Moisturiser: This was an OK gel cream. I like others better, but it’s not bad. The scent was a bit strong for me.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid: The colors were easy to use and blend, very light. I just found it too cumbersome to use a color corrector under foundation. I also found if I didn’t use a Beautyblender to apply foundation over top the correcter, then putting my foundation on rubbed the color corrector off. So it was way too many steps for me. Liked the formula though.

KORRES Wild Rose Vitamin C Peel: I like this, I’ve used it before. Nice two step peel that’s effective and moisturizing. It has a rose scent.

Patchology Flash Patch Lip Renewal: I reviewed this here. It’s OK.

NIP + FAB Glycolic Scrub: This was OK. Review here.

Erborian Yuza Double Lotion: Love this. Review here. Milky moisturizing toner. One of my new favorites.

Clinique Moisture Surge: This is a great all around gel cream. I love it, it’s cheap. No scent and not irritating to anyone.

Sisley Nutritive Lip Balm: This is the best lip balm for night. It lasts forever at night. I tried to go without it when this ran out, but I had to buy it again. Review here.

Sisley Gentle Make-Up Remover: This was nice. Worked well, didn’t sting my eyes. Pricey for what it is, but nice.

Omorovicza Reviving Eye Cream: This is a nice light eye cream. Not hugely hydrating, but it won’t make your eye makeup run off either from being too greasy. Smells like cucumbers. Nice glass pump package. Review to come.

WHAMISA Organic Flowers Water Cream: This was OK. Hydrating without feeling greasy, but for some reason it broke me out some.

John Masters Organics Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructor: This was great, hydrating without being greasy. Only down side is the higher price for the small size.

R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo: This was OK, voluminous and worked well. I do find it left too much of a white cast for me.

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Base: This is OK. It’s not really mattifying nor hydrating. It’s kind of one of those average silicone primers.

Paula’s Choice RESIST C15 Super Booster: This is OK, a liquid Vitamin C serum. I hate the package as it turned dark and started to oxidize before I could finish the mini version. This is the second time a mini has done this too me. I used it everyday so it’s not like it sat there forever unused.

Tata Harper Replenishing Nutrient Complex: Love this. Ultra light oil. I use it over and over again. I talked about it some here.

Sisley The Supreme Anti-Aging Eye Serum: This was OK. Hydrating thicker cream style serum. Another ridiculously expensive item for no reason.

La Mer The Perfecting Treatment: This is nice. Thin slippery hydrating primer. Feels like a slightly silky primer. I have more to use before I review.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Genesis Original Skin Primer: This I wanted to love this. It was too thick for me, too much of a silicone feeling base. It was a lighter silicone than most, so it was a better version.

La Mer The Cleansing Micellar Water : This was nice, no bad things to say about it. Except maybe the price.

Chanel N5 L’Eau: This is nice. A lighter version of the original.

SENNA Treatment Balm: This was OK. I was drawn to it from the pumpkin enzymes in it. It wasn’t as hydrating as I thought it would be. It was nice on, but wore off quickly. I like others more.

L’Occitane Precious Cream: This is an OK, thicker, really hydrating cream. It’s too much for me, but great for dry skin.

Fresh Cream Ancienne Soft Cream: This feels like Fresh’s version of La Mer’s Soft Cream. It’s a lighter version of the original. Still really hydrating but not too much. I liked it. Really pricey.

La Mer The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation Neutral: I love this. It’s lightweight, long lasting and not drying or full on matte. Love that. Full review coming up.

Mila Moursi Serum Lissant: I’ve wanted to try this forever. It’s a slippery silky style serum. Hydrating. It’s hard to tell from a few small samples if it’s effective. I’d sill like to try a full size but I’ve always been put back by the price.

Algenist Sublime Optical Illuminating Moisturizer: This was nice, pink glow to it for the illuminating part. A thicker moisturizer. I prefer just using my MAC Strobe Cream over a lotion I like at the moment.

Osmotics Blue Copper 5 Prime Face: This was OK. A lightly hydrating moisturizer. It’s was odd. A gel cream kind of. Has an odd scent. It broke me out after a while.

Kane NY Serum Savant: I didn’t know what to expect from this, but I had wanted to try it forever. It’s a thicker hydrating serum with an orange color. I would still like to try a full size version of this.

Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue Foundation 30 Beige: This was nice. A long wearing, lightweight thin, matte medium to full coverage foundation. If you like matte and a thinner style it’s great.

Proganix Coconut Quench Conditioner: I love this. It’s light yet hydrating. It doesn’t weigh my hair down. It’s cheap and has a light natural coconut scent. Enough said. Grab it.

Zelens Hysro-Shiso Balancing Moisturizer: I loved this and used every last bit. Hydrating, lightweight. No big scent. I will buy again.

Sisley Nutritive Lip Balm: I made a mistake and pictured it twice when it should have been once.

Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Age Cream: This is OK. Looks liek it got renamed. Thick heavy hydrating night cream. Way too small of sample to see how effective it is in the long run. No break outs from it being heavy though.

Paula’s Choice RESIST 1% Retinol Booster: This is OK. Cheap. Great concept-you can add a basic level of retinol to any serum you already use and love. Review coming up.

Earth’s Best Moisture Bound Cream: This is light in texture, yet really hydrating. It was too greasy in the long run for me. It took forever to sink in.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask Soothing Apricot: I liked this version of the original mask. Same gel type texture. Just with apricot and coconut water. Smells like apricot. Limited edition from two summer’s ago so it’s no longer around.

Erborian Yuza Double Lotion: See above.

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Gel Cream: This was OK, average hydrating gel cream.

Peter Thomas Roth Acne-Clear Invisible Dots: Love these style of acne dots. I actually prefer the Skyn Iceland ones to these. Review coming up.

Sunday Riley Good Genes: This is great stuff. Smells like strong cat pee, but it works. Review to come.

Too Cool for School Egg Mellow Cream: This was OK, average hydrating cream. Not greasy at all.

REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream: This was nice. Nice light hydrating cream. Cheap.

YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint B45 Bisque & BD25 Warm Beige: NC30/NC20 respectively. Nice foundation. Lightweight matte medium to full coverage foundation. Sadly one was too dark the other too light for me. I’d love to try my correct match.

La Metier de Beaute Rejuvenating Anti-Aging Night Cream: This is a gel cream style. It’s too much for me. It broke me out and was greasy. Odd for a gel cream style.
