October Samples & Empties Post

So once again I had my Samples and Empties post mostly done and it got deleted by accident, it’s so frustrating to have to start over. Anyway, quick thoughts about each starting above left to right.

Sunday Riley Start Over Eye Cream: I liked this gel cream. Not hugely hydrating, but it’s refreshing. I did notice my dark circles were a bit better with use. I preferred this glass bottle, it’s now repackaged into a squeeze tube. It’s a larger size for an eye cream so not a bad value for the price.

Whamisa Organic Flowers Olive Leaf Mist: Loved this, super fine mist. Hydrating.

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water: Cheap, effective, doesn’t burn your eyes removing makeup.

John Masters Organics Lavender & Avocado Conditioner: Love this, it’s a staple. Reviewed here.

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer: I like this. I prefer the Nivea, review here.

Drybar Mai Tai Spritzer: I like this. It works, it’s not drying nor greasy.

Erborian Yuza Double Lotion: Love this. New staple toner. Light fresh citrus scent, very hydrating for a toner. Review to come.

Dr Brandt Power Dose D: I liked this, light and it improved skin firmness. Review here.

La Mer The Perfecting Treatment: This is OK. More of a hydrating silky primer than anything else. Review after I’m done with all the samples I have. I had enough for almost a full jar.

Fresh Rose Face Mask: I love the formula and idea in general. For some reason this burns around my nose. I wish that annoying ingredient could be taken out. Thinking it’s the Sodium Hydroxide(lye).

ilike Hyaluronic Time Erase Gel Mask: I liked this. It was hydrating. Average gel mask, small size, kind of expensive.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Milk Aquarelle in Chestnut Milk: I think my sample was dried out some. This was supposed to be a liquid foundation but it was thicker and the texture was patchy and off. The shade might have been a touch too light, but it was close. I’d have to see the next shade.

Omorovicza Intensive Hydralifting Cream: Love this. Review here.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb: This is OK. Average gel cream.

Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence: This was a thicker essence. Had the oddest musty smell. I’d skip it next time.

Mizon All in One Snail Repair Cream: This was an average gel cream. No strong scent, almost scentless. Nothing bad about it, just average. No real wow effect from snails.

Paula’s Choice Resist Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum: Light hydrating serum. This is probably the fourth tube I’ve used. Great antioxidant ingredient list for a cheap price.

GLAMGLOW Gravity Mud Firming Treatment: Such an odd mask. It’s a pearly white peel off mask. It did firm my skin. My favorite GLAMGLOW product to date.

NIP + FAB Dark Circle Fix: This was OK. Light textured gel cream. Didn’t really do that much for me and I wouldn’t rebuy.

Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix Setting Spray: This was OK. I never feel these types of sprays really set makeup and make it last longer. But that’s just me.

Chanel Le Volume Mascara: Love this mascara. First ever rubber wand I’ve liked. Review here.

Clarins Booster Energy: This was OK. Really liquid texture, I spilled more than I got on my face. I didn’t notice a huge wow effect from this.

Peter Thomas Roth Acne-Clear Invisible Dots: I love these. Staple product, I do like the Skyn Iceland ones more. They seem more effective.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue: I love this. Very hydrating eye cream with retinol.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster: Eh, this was a silicone textured serum. Nothing I felt was a booster. More primer like.

Omorovicza Complexion Corrector: This is the first Omorovicza product I’ve disliked. It’s OK. Feels like a sunscreen more than anything else, has a white cast as well. I prefer their sunscreen to this.

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm: This is always good. An oily mud cleanser.

Too Cool for School Egg Mellow Body Butter: This is OK. An average body cream. Not greasy so that’s a bonus. I hate really long names of products like this one. Anyone else?

Shiseido Ultimte Sun Protection Lotion: Nice thin texture, no real bad white cast. Feels like the formulated it better without alcohol unlike previous formulations I’ve tried.

GLAMGLOW Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment: This was OK. Hydrating cleanser.
REN Instant Firming Beauty Shot: Eh, says you can put it over makeup for a refreshed feel. It just rubs off my makeup and makes my skin drier when applyed over makeup.

Omorovicza Gold Eye Lift: I love this. Using a full size bottle now. Review to come. Hydrating night cream with retinol.

KORRES Black Pine Active Firming Sleeping Oil: Nice oil, medium not too light nor heavy. Lovely sweet smell.

Erborian Bamboo Waterlock Mask: This was odd, matte feeling gel mask. Yet not drying, it was mildly hydrating.

GLAMGLOW Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser: This was OK, very foamy cleanser. I have others I prefer more.
