Omorovicza Balancing Moisturizer & Elemental Emulsion Review

With summer here it’s time to switch to those lighter moisturizers. Omorovicza is one of my favorite skincare brands and these are my favorite summer moisturizers from them. The Balancing Moisturiser is a light lotion for combo to oily skin, I use it on my normal to combo skin for summer it’s great for me. Per Omorovicza’s website: “this cooling gel-cream regulates the production of sebum to avoid shine. It provides perfectly calibrated long-lasting hydration though it absorbs instantly. It also helps to reduce pore size and blurs the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.” The key benefits are: Reduce pore size and brighten skin with exotic fruits extracts, deliver long-lasting hydration and suppleness with apple pectin, minimize the appearance of fine lines and imperfections with ruby crystal. For oily, combination/normal skin types.

The Elemental Emulsion is a lighter textured lotion that can be used alone or as an extra moisture boost. Per Omorovicza’s website: “This lightweight oil-free lotion contains marine extracts and hyaluronic acid to deliver long-lasting moisture to deep layers of the skin while controlling shine on the surface. A must-have for all skin types, the Elemental Emulsion can be used as a moisturizer, as a moisture-boost on an extra-dry day, or as a serum to prepare skin for a richer cream.” Key benefits are: Provide long lasting hydration to the skin with sodium hyaluronate which binds water to improve moisture retention to give the skin a smoother, plumper appearance. Restructure connective tissue and improve the skin’s healing and repair process, while reducing the breakdown of proteins in the skin with silicon and brown alga complex. Correct and brighten skin tone, diminish the appearance of age spots, and restore elasticity with ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (an anti-oxidant vitamin C derivative). It also protects collagen and elastic fibres, revitalizing cell growth and encourages collagen synthesis. Reduce shine by absorbing and trapping excess sebum with marine exopolysaccharide. For sensitive, dry, oily, combination/normal skin types.

They both come in a 50 ml glass pump bottle. The Balancing Moisturizer retails for $135 and the Elemental Emulsion for $150. They are pricey, but seem to last a long time. They are both lightweight, absorb quickly, have the traditional minimal Omorovicza scent and don’t break me out. The Elemental Emulsion is a touch thinner in texture but is slightly more moisturizing. I love the idea of the fruit extract in the Balancing Moisturizer to control oil, using the lactic acid. It does work well in the summer. Depending on what you are looking for you could use one or the other. I layer both in the summer or use them with other products. Some days the Balancing Moisturizer is enough, but on drier days I need a moisture boost from the Elemental Emulsion. You can also use the Elemental Emulsion during the day as an extra moisture boost as well. Together they give you lightweight, non greasy summer moisture. I use these in the day, and use a more moisturizing cream at night.

Omorovicza also has a rewards system, you earn Pengo points for purchases, reviews and just joining. Then you can buy products in the future with the points. They do have chances to earn double points as well as occasional coupons.
