Omorovicza Radiance Renewal Serum: Review

I love Omorovicza products. I’ve talked about them a lot. I’m currently working my way through all their serums. This Radiance Renewal Serum was the first I finished of the four serums.

Per Omorovicza’s website: “This lightweight oil-free serum brightens the complexion and revives tired skin. Ideal for combination and oily skin, it regulates the production of sebum to prevent shine and corrects tone.” Retail is $160 for 1 fl oz. It comes in a frosted glass bottle with pump that does allow you to easily control how much product you want to dispense.

Key Benefits:

  • Regulate sebum production to eliminate shine with calming and detoxifying zinc (as gluconate, PCA and mineral compound).
  • For long-lasting hydration, non-oily sodium hyaluronate binds moisture to the skin.
  • Energize and revitalize skin with white lupin.
  • Leave skin firmer, more supple and younger-looking as Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivers minerals deep into the skin.

I bought this when I lived in Montana while my skin was still combination versus it’s now normal to dry state. It’s lightweight and has a clear thicker liquid texture. It’s not greasy, absorbs fast and has no strong scent.  I did find this helped control oil. It was actually too drying for me with my normal to dry skin. I found it not as hydrating as I would like for a serum. Besides that I didn’t notice a huge difference in how my skin was as far as being firmer or younger looking. I’ve had better results with other serums. Even Omorovicza’s creams and lotions do more for me.

It does have denatured alcohol in it per the ingredients list which is also a disappointment. I didn’t find it as drying as a lot of serums with alcohol in them, but with the zinc as well it felt too drying. I also see there is Sodium Hydroxide in the ingredient list, which is lye, and sometimes that can be drying for me. It can be an irritant and is used to control the pH or buffer the solution. It’s higher up in the ingredients list in this one than I’d like. Something I also didn’t pay attention to when purchasing.

This was my first purchase of an Omorovicza product that I was disappointed with. It also was not a right choice for my skin type as it states being for combination to oily skin. At the time it was the right choice so it was my fault for not using it when I first bought it. Someone with oily or combination skin might find this helpful for controlling oil through the day. For me, onto the next serum. For $160 you can probably invest in a different serum, or a better lotion or cream. Omorovicza’s Intensive Hydralifting Cream is amazing. You can also find most of the same ingredients in Omorovicza’s other serums like the Gold Flash Firming and Rose Lifting Serum plus get peptides and other added beneficial ingredients for only $25 or $65 more.
