Random Lipstick Comparison: Bobbi Brown, Hourglass & MAKE UP FOR EVER

I have a few random lipsticks to talk about. Make Up For Ever’s(MUFE) Rouge Artist Natural in N3 or Iridescent Pink Beige, Bobbi Brown Bronzed Pink Creamy Lip Color and Hourglass Femme Rouge in Grace.

MUFE is a your lip but better pink beige with pink shimmer. The shimmer is subtle. It’s a moisturizing lipstick that’s sheer enough. I’ve tried N4 and N9 as well, they are both cremes. MUFE makes a good lipstick, I just haven’t played too much into their territory yet. N4 is very similar to N3, I like N3 better as it has the subtle shimmer which is what I prefer. I like the formula no complaints. Sephora used to have a very limited range of shades, recently they added more which is when I got N3.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color lipsticks are moisturizing, glossy, smooth lipsticks. They are almost balm hybrids. Bronzed Pink happens to be one of my favorites. It’s a shimmery nude pink with a slight bronze effect. It has good pigmentation for a sheer balm style lipstick, yet it is sheerer overall. I’ve tried a few other shades which I don’t have anymore. It’s a good formula if the shade is what you want.

Last I have a small sample of Hourglass Femme Rouge in Grace. Grace is a sheer pinked nude. It’s very nude, yet it doesn’t wash me out. Grace has a slight silver shimmer. The color is OK, it came in my Barney’s bag or I wouldn’t have bought it. The scent and taste is slightly off for me, it’s odd. It maybe slightly castor oil or a wax or something? Like how I hate Revlon and their taste. This is not as bad as that, but close enough to make me not buy one in the future.

Bobbi Brown is the glossiest, with MUFE and Hourglass being sheer and creamy. Hourglass is a touch thicker than the MUFE. I would pick Bobbi Brown and MUFE again in different shades but not the Hourglass.

Top to Bottom: MUFE, Bobbi Brown, Hourglass
