I just talked about RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer. It wasn’t quite for me then I saw this Master Mixer pop up on Sephora and the color seemed more up my alley.

This one also comes in a frosted glass jar and retails for $38 for 0.17 oz. Suggested usage is “Be creative like the pros and mix this pearlescent shimmer to any makeup product you choose to bring back to life. This is described as a rose gold. The color is more of a shimmery coppery beige champagne. It changes in the light. Sometimes it looks cooler and more neutral, in sunlight it warms up and you see the copper more. It’s actually darker than I thought it was going to be. As a highlighter it kind of disappears on my skin which is a medium skintone. I can see this highlighting darker skintones and being a blush on lighter skintones.
The texture is different from the Living Luminizer. While it’s creamy and emollient, it’s not glossy like the Living Luminizer. It’s more of a basic cream highlighter. It’s a great texture for a cream highlight, not too creamy it slides off. It feels like a drier cream highlight compared to Natahsa Denona’s which is more slippery and emollient. Because of that, it’s too dry for my lips by itself and was uncomfortable. Layered over a lipstick or gloss it’s fine.
This was a bust for me, it’s too dark to be just a highlighter, and too dry for my lips alone. It really only worked for me if I layered with other products. Which I know is it’s intended purpose. I’m too busy and lazy to add this on top of another product just to able to use it. I have a 9 month old and I’m lucky if I get time to apply all of my makeup on a daily basis, let alone add a step. I can see this working for professional Makeup Artists.
