SUQQU Blend Color Eyeshadow EX-32 Rengazome: Review & Swatches

SUQQU is a high end Japanese brand I love. I’ve mostly talked about their lipsticks so far. I have one very neutral eyeshadow quad Kozuecha and a limited edition trio I’ve already reviewed. SUQQU’s limited edition items always start with EX. That’s very nice because you know which items are limited edition to begin with, no guessing like US releases.

EX-32 Rengazome is described as “brick red and olive brown for a romantic modern look”. The top left is a shimmery olive. The top right is a satin brick red. The bottom left is a matte chocolate brown with a cool embossed pattern. The bottom right is a shimmery light nude gold champagne. The brick red shade is slightly shimmery and more sheer than the pigmented shimmery olive and champagne shade. The matte brown is a bit patchy in application. It’s the weakest shade of the palette performance wise, though better by far than average mattes. The texture and shimmer complexity is spot on like any SUQQU eyeshadow. They are so silky and smooth. They blend well and the quality is top notch.

I didn’t buy this at first because the idea of red eyeshadow was so not me. When you blend them all together you get a more neutral palette. You can separate the colors some to get more color definition, or use them together for a surprisingly neutral look. Green and red are complementary colors and when mixed they make brown. Sadly this quad sold out in days. I grabbed it off Ichibankao, it was also on Selfridges and Harrods. Overall, I ended up liking this more than I thought I would.
