Tata Harper Rebuilding Moisturizer: Review

I know for some of you it may still feel like Winter. However here in Texas it’s already starting to feel like Summer. Which means time to change over skincare to lighter formulas. I tried out the Tata Harper Rebuilding Moisturizer last Summer. Described as a lightweight, matte-finish moisturizer. Perfect for oily/combination skin types and in hot, humid climates. Now that Summer is almost here it’s the perfect time to talk about it and I will be pulling mine out again around July. Details per Tata Harper:

This fast-absorbing moisturizer is specially formulated for combination skin types, containing a blend of biocompatible hyaluronic acid and natural humectants that delivers optimal hydration with a matte finish.

Product Benefits:

  • Fast-absorbing formula restores a balanced look.
  • Exfoliates the surface of the skin to help decongest buildup.
  • Minimizes the appearance of pores.

The texture is indeed lightweight and it comes packaged in Tata’s signature green glass bottle with a pump. My favorite type of package for skincare. This has the best scent-a fruity, floral, natural, essential oil scent. It’s light and not too strong. Some of Tata’s products can be too strong in the essential oil department for me. This one is not. It absorbs quickly, is never greasy and does leave a more satin than matte like finish.

It’s pretty hydrating without being too much. It’s prefect for Summer and heat and humidity. No break outs for me while using. I love that this one is still quite hydrating without being dry like some more matte lotions designed for Summer. This is more hydrating than a gel cream, but less than a typical lotion. The 1.7 oz bottle does come with a hefty price tag of $105, but if you know and use Tata Harper that’s pretty standard for her stuff. It’s pricey, but really good. I would recommend this one to anyone who needs a lightweight Summer moisturizer, or for combination to oily skin types not in Summertime. In Summer this could be too much for really oily types, you’d have to test it out first.
