Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask: Honey Blossom & Soothing Apricot: Review

Tata Harper is one of my favorite natural skincare brands. The Resurfacing Mask was the first item I tried from her line many years ago. The last two summers Tata Harper has put out limited edition versions of the mask, with the same base they just add ingredients. This summer was Honey Blossom, last summer Soothing Apricot. They come in a limited  batch number and are marked which one you got. Both are 30 ml glass jars that were $65 versus the regular $55 for the same size. Soothing Apricot is sold out but Honey Blossom is still available only on tataharperskincare.com.

The original mask per Tata’s website: “This award-winning beta-hydroxy treatment works like a traditional peel to provide an instant solution for dull skin – without causing downtime or irritation. Delivers instant glow, minimizes the appearance of pores and improves texture for smooth, glowing skin. Formulated to deeply purify and help decongest surface debris and dead skin for a refreshed, instantly revitalized appearance.”
  • Pomegranate Enzymes provide deep cleansing and pore minimization
  • French Pink Clay reduces the appearance of pores and helps detoxify skin
  • White Willow eliminates dead skin cells and promotes cellular renewal

L to R: Wild Honey, Soothing Apricot:

Soothing Apricot is a clear apricot hue. Coconut Water for added deep hydration. Soothing Apricot came in a green velvet bag.

Honey Blossom is a golden hue with fine gold shimmer. Per Tata’s website: “Raw honey, used for centuries as a soothing, hydrating and revitalizing skin treatment, makes its Tata Harper Skincare debut in this Limited Edition Honey Blossom Resurfacing Mask. Inspired by her grandmother’s use of honey masks while growing up in Colombia, Tata developed this luxurious golden version of our award-winning, instant-glow Resurfacing Mask to deliver additional nourishing and hydrating effects. Our Vermont-harvested raw honey, from clover and alfalfa blossoms, is a naturally concentrated source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and moisture – it melts onto the skin, sealing in hydration and soothing dry patches. A blend of lush floral essential oils revitalizes the skin and lifts the spirits. Indulge the skin in this exclusive Tata Harper raw honey experience, and enjoy an irresistible summertime glow.” Honey Blossom comes in a box with a gold seal on top of the box.

They both came with a card:

They are all a thicker gel texture that spreads on thin then dries. Because it does dry fully I do find them all drying to some degree as it has to be on 20-30 minutes then rinsed off. That’s about my only complaint besides the tiny pot for $55-65. I’m used the price with Tata’s products they’re all pricey. I do find my skin feels soft and renewed after use.

There’s not a huge difference between each of them in how they make my skin look, so you could really use any one of them that you wanted to. Meaning, the effect from any of the three is the same. I like the Honey Blossom best because honey is antibacterial and adding that to a detoxifying mask is something I like. So it’s more of the benefits of that added one ingredient that makes me like it the most. The effect on my skin is the same. The Honey Blossom and Soothing Apricot are missing the pink clay in the ingredient list so there is that one difference. That makes the original version more of a detoxifier and the others more of a peel. As a peel I do have others I prefer more, so this isn’t a must have for me. It’s nice especially if you’re into 100% natural. I feel it functions as a light peel.
