Whish Sugar Scrub Coconut: Review

I love a sugar body scrub, and I love coconut in the shower. I grabbed this Whish Sugar Scrub in Coconut a bit ago and just got around to trying it out. Per Whish Beauty’s website: “Extremely dry skin needs an extremely efficient solution and our scrumptious sugar scrub works like a charm. With an amazingly effective trio of exfoliants and a triple dose of moisturizers your dull, dry skin will be polished to nourished perfection in no time. Who knew beautifying could be so yummy?

I do find a lot of Whish products are too strong in scent. Their Pomegranate is sickeningly sweet. However, the scent of Coconut is mild and nice. It’s got a sweet hint but nothing too bad. The formula has natural ingredients and it’s got a good ingredient list. It’s a little pricey at $38 for 12 oz.

This has a thick body butter almost solid texture. It has a very fine grain to it for the scrub. It’s thick, greasy and it took me a while to figure out the best way to use it. The scrub is so fine and not very prominent in the product, it really doesn’t do much as far as exfoliation. It’s more like rubbing a thick greasy body butter on in the shower. It is really moisturizing, you don’t need lotion. It will leave a greasy feel when you get out of the shower. Use a small amount, less is more. It’s hard to rinse enough of the product off. I found if you used too much, the grit of the scrub was almost impossible to wash off, it was stuck in the greasy butter. If you use less it makes this much easier, however you will still not be able to wash all the grains off in the shower. I need a towel to remove the rest when I dry off.

This is one product I will not rebuy. It was too hard to use, too pricey and wasn’t effective as a body scrub. It was good as a in shower body butter. It’s great for dry skin. If you’re oily or in a hot humid environment, this may not be for you.
