I love the Cle de Peau Radiant foundation line. Both the stick and fluid are huge favorites of mine. I’ve been loving the new luxury cushion foundations coming out so I had to grab the new Cle de Peau Radiant Cushion Foundation. I grabbed shade O30 which is what I wear in the liquid. How to Use
- Apply foundation following skincare or the application of a pre-makeup base or primer.
- Lightly press the puff onto the foundation surface two or three times to allow sufficient foundation to adhere.
- Gently pat the puff onto the skin, beginning at the center of one cheek and moving to other areas until application is completed on one half of the face. Apply in the same manner to the other side of the face.
- Fold the puff in half or use fingers to blend foundation over the eye area, nose, and other areas requiring precise application.
- For optimal application, keep the puff clean by massaging it gently with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse the puff thoroughly and blot gently to remove excess water. Allow the puff to dry completely prior to use.
This has the typical Cle de Peau navy and gold luxury compact. This cushion has a sponge style pad. The foundation gives medium to light coverage with a dewy to satin finish. It’s buildable to a degree and has a minimal scent. Too many cushions have a heavy perfumed scent so I love the ones that take it down a notch. The sponge applicator is well done and I’ve been able to wash it quite a bit and it’s holding up fine. This actually sets down pretty good and lasts all day for me. I get 8 hours easy without any fading and it’s still around pretty good after 12 hours but there’s visible fading by then.
It feels very comfortable on the skin and looks like skin. It’s slightly dewy but really sets to a nice more satin kind of finish. So it holds up well in the heat and humidity which is a must for me. I didn’t have any breakdown with this on me in the t-zone like some foundations can do. It doesn’t make me get oily as the day goes on, it just holds a nice satin finish. I love that it doesn’t dry me out either so that’s what makes it comfortable to wear all day. It feels literally like nothing is on the skin. Perfection. I wish that they sold refills for these. You can pop it out but I haven’t seen refills anywhere.
The shade O30 by Cle de Peau is quite honestly my perfect shade. No other foundation fits me as well as this one does. It’s the perfect neutral with olive and warmth kind of tone. Not too yellow nor pink as too many foundations tend to be. There’s a serious lacking in neutral with olive tones in that light to medium area. Everyone always makes them too gold or yellow for me. The quality of Cle de Peau foundations is excellent as well. I’ve loved every one I’ve tried. I still haven’t tried The Foundation, maybe one day.
If you like luxury cushions this one is a good choice. It has the perfect dewy satin finish that lasts all day and looks like skin. It’s weightless and feels like nothing on the skin. The range of shade choices is far from all inclusive as O30 is the darkest shade. It’s actually a bit darker than O30 in the fluid or new Cream to Powder foundations. If you wear O40 this will work for you, if you think O30 (in the liquid or cream forms) can be a touch dark at times for you then you should go with O20 in the cushion. I would definitely repurchase this one as I love lightweight foundations with that dewy to satin finish that look and feel like my skin.
