Deciem The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA: Review

Time for another Deciem The Ordinary review. I’ve been using the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA for some time now. Details per The Ordinary:

Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. NMF are made up of multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, saccharides, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid and many other compounds that are naturally present in the skin.

This formula offers non-greasy hydration that acts as a direct topical supplement of impaired NMF components. It contains 11 amino acids, phospholipids, alpha/beta/gamma fatty acids, triglycerides, sterols and sterol esters, glycerin, ceramide precursors, urea, saccharides, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid. It offers immediate hydration and lasting results with continued use.

Directions Apply after serums as needed for effective surface hydration.

The color is white. The texture is whipped. The packaging is a basic plastic tube. All for a whopping $5.80 for 30ml, or a new size of 100ml for $7.70. This has no discernible scent. It should please many for that reason, plus the cost. This is quite hydrating while remaining light. The whipped texture rubs right into the skin for a satin finish in less than a minute. It’s not greasy nor heavy at all. The moisture lasts a long time as well. It’s not one of those ones that wears off an hour or so later. It is very hydrating, so if you have oily skin it could be too much for you. It packs a cream level of hydration in it. Even though it seems whipped and light.

I have two uses I love it for the most. Both were not uses I originally intended this product for. My daughters face and my nose when I have a cold. This just hydrates Ella’s face at night without being greasy, yet gets rid of her dry patches from constant snot removal. When I get a cold my nose gets very thick and dry skin below from the constant blowing and tissue rubbing. This really alleviates that and keeps it from occurring. I keep a tube in my purse just for that reason. The packaging is totally portable so it’s purse friendly. As a face cream this is going to be a very hydrating cream, yet with that lighter texture and satin feel. Don’t let that fool you though it’s pretty hydrating.

I also don’t feel bad when Ella grabs it and runs around squeezing it out for fun because this is so cheap. Bonus. This is also a great hand cream. It’s got that non greasy feel but is really hydrating. With the new size tripling the original for a mere $2 more you might as well. I see no reason for you not to try it for any variety of reasons. For the price there’s no reason not to.
