L'ELU Custom Facial Oil

I discovered the Australian brand L'ELU Skincare last year while looking for facial oils. L'ELU is a natural, cruelty free, vegan hand made brand. They make facial oils. They have a bunch of facial oils but what caught my eye was the Create Your Own Facial Oil. I've always wanted to create my own. Now you're creating your own within limitations of the ingredients the brand carries but they actually have a fairly large selection.

You start by selecting your skin type. I picked Oily/combo. Selecting this opens the oils you pick from. You can then pick up to five carrier oils. You know I picked five. I picked cucumber, hemp, prickly pear, pumpkin & watermelon. Next you add up to five essential oils. I picked carrot, blue tansy, neroli, manuka & german chamomile. I absolutely adore this facial oil. The texture is phenomenal. It's light and so smooth. This oil just glides on the skin. You can tell it uses high quality oils. This oil was perfect for lighter weather because it's light overall. I really wanted the anti-inflammatory benefits of blue tansy and german chamomile with the light oils of hemp, pumpkin, cucumber and watermelon.

I love the idea of this brand. It gives you the chance to pick what you want in a facial oil. Lets face it, consumers are smarter and more informed about what they want in their skincare today. Being able to customize skincare like an oil is a phenomenal idea. Not to mention the oils are high quality and the brand is good. I wish I had grabbed a few other custom facial oils as they have strawberry oil and now I really need to make a second one.

Sadly they don't ship to the US. I had to get a friend to ship it to me. They told me they're working on shipping to the US. So keep this brand in the back of your head and once they open shipping internationally I suggest you create your own facial oil. It's very fun to make your own creation. It's an excellent idea plus the packaging is spot on and the quality is excellent. Even if you don't plan on ordering, create one on their website. They have a ton of useful information on what each oil does for the skin and it's a good resource.I could spend an hour getting lost on their site creating and reading about all the oils.

*Edit to add they now ship to the US!
