Natasha Denona Eyeshadows are one of my favorite textures. They're smooth, pigmented, buttery and never powdery. So far I have only tried the Metallic formula. I finally caved and grabbed three more shades: Pinija, Gray-Brown & Suede. I originally reviewed the formula here.
Gray-Brown is the Metallic formula. It's a super pearlized shimmery but not glittery medium warm gray. It's prefect to add into my collection of neutrals. It has the smoothest most buttery texture. It blends like a dream. This highly metallic eyeshadow has a super pearled finish and is enriched with deep anti-aging and moisturizing benefits. The high pigments in this shadow provide a full and rich color pay off that will not fade out. With its blendable texture, this shadow allows the option of being applied as a soft, more subtle shade or built up to a vibrant, full coverage shade.
Suede is the Matte formula. It's not really matte. More of a matte with micro glitter. It is a medium warm camel brown with a warm caramel gold micro glitter. While it's fairly pigmented, it's quite different in texture than the Metallic formula. It's drier and more powdery. It's not quite as pigmented either. I like layering this over the middle lid after other colors. It was a bit too light on it's own for me. This rich, velvety eyeshadow has a matte finish with high definition and long lasting coverage. The high pigments in this shadow provide a full and rich color pay off that will not fade out. With its blendable texture, this shadow allows the option of being applied as a soft, more subtle shade or built up to a vibrant, full coverage shade.
Pinija is a Duo-Chrome formula. It's a shimmering metallic emerald green in a warm brown base. It's much more green than brown. I really liked this in the 'outer v' or crease when layered with neutrals. I'm not normally a green lover. I like it, I think it's pretty. I just never reach for greens when I buy them. This was easier for me to use than MAC Club. Club is too brown and warm red for me. I like the more neutral green feel to this shade. This highly metallic and duo pigmented eyeshadow has a super pearled finish and is enriched with deep anti-aging and moisturizing benefits. The high pigments in this shadow provide a full and rich color pay off that will not fade out. With its blendable texture, this shadow allows the option of being applied as a soft, more subtle shade or built up to a vibrant, full coverage shade.
I will be depotting these three shades shortly and adding them to my palette. They're good additions to a neutral kit. I definitely like the Metallic and Duo-Chrome formula the best. I might hold off on purchasing any more matte shades as it was just a touch too dry and powdery.
