Once the artificial heat is on and winter fully kicks in my skin goes haywire. That's the one time of year I can expect more inflammation in my skin. I've been playing with the Osmosis Rescue Epidermal Repair Serum for a while now. As winter is in full swing seems like the perfect time to talk about it. Details per Osmosis:
This Osmosis epidermal repair serum has a remarkable ability to neutralize toxins, calm inflammation, activate epidermal wound repair, and provide the skin the tools needed to permanently treat pores, age spots, and skin texture changes.
For: All Skin Types, Inflamed Skin, Acne, Rosacea, Hyperpigmentation, Melasma, and Liver Spots
Directions Apply 1-2 pumps morning and evening. May be used in combination with other serums. If twice daily application is not desired, 4-6 pumps may be used as an evening mask for maximum epidermal repair activation. Can be used to spot treat blemishes, age spots and other forms of inflammation.
This serums has a simple plastic pump bottle which is just perfect. The serum itself has a thicker liquid texture. It's lightly hydrating, layers well with others, absorbs fairly quickly and never pills. It's silicone and artificial fragrance free. The inci is incredibly short. It's got glycerin, water and a couple texturizers but really the only active ingredient is Trioxolane. Trioxolane is an extract from wormwood said to neutralize toxins, calm inflammation, aide in wound repair, improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of age spots.
Trioxolane is patented. You can actually see the patent HERE which describes a lot of what it does. It's interesting as an ingredient. It was hard to find any real articles about it beyond the oral use of it. I didn't look that hard because it wasn't that important to me. So ultimate question is does this work? Yes. I noticed the biggest effects in calming inflammation and that's what I mainly used it for. My bottle is going to expire in four months so I'm going to add it in nightly right now and see about more long term effects as far as pigmentation goes.
I like how it calms and soothes so I'll pay more attention to the other claims. The only down side beyond the steeper price is the scent. It smells like bleach. Seriously. It goes away fairly quickly, better if you start adding product on top to help it dissipate. I think this is geared towards people doing cosmetic procedures for healing and wound repair or for anyone in need of help with inflammation. The scent definitely takes some getting use to but everyone I've heard try this loves it.
