RÓEN Beauty 52º Cool Eyeshadow Palette

RÓEN Beauty is the hot new beauty line created by makeup artist Nikki DeRoest. It’s a very small line with two eyeshadow quads, an eyeshadow effects single and a brush. I have a love hate relationship with cream eyeshadow. I love the feel, ease and look of it, I have the creasing. Needless to say something about the vibe of RÓEN sucked me in and I grabbed one palette. RÓEN is vegan, cruelty/gluten free, clean and a luxury brand. Details per RÓEN:

With this COOL HERO palette you can mix, layer, and play to create effortless, understated glamour. Smudge with fingers or apply with our Everything Eye Brush to create your perfect wash and sparkle.

52º Cool Eye Shadow Palette is the cool toned palette obviously and it contains shades-Bask, Rendezvous, Yep and Meow. Bask is the top left shade which is a shimmering rose gold. Rendezvous is the top right shade a shimmery burgundy. Yep is the bottom left shade a shimmering medium brown. Meow is the bottom right shade a shimmery metallic cool gray. The colors are well paired I liked the palette selection. The shades are all buildable and even in their pigmentation.

All the shades are shimmery and they also all have some form of micro glitter. Rendezvous is the only one that has very little of the micro glitter it’s more shimmery in its appearance. You can see how it looks smoother as well texture wise. Bask had the most micro glitter of the bunch. The formula is really smooth and it applies like a dream. Sadly like 99% of cream shadows out there it creases after a few hours despite using an eye primer. I will say this one wears evenly though when it starts to fade. That’s kind of unique. Most tend to wear unevenly. I got maybe two hours before it started to crease then fading started by about four hours. After a full work day 75% or so was faded off. I was left with a nice tint on my lids and plenty of micro glitter sparkle. There was actually a bit of fall out as well.

I like the textures of these shadows and the colors were nice. I’m not a huge micro glitter fan at all, love shimmer just not that level of bling on a normal basis (Though I did love me some sparkly eye bling when I was younger). However, there’s something ethereal about these shadows. Even though they were more glittery than I liked they gave such a nice ethereal finish to the eye that actually makes me want to use them again, despite my dislike of creasing and micro glitter. I think these are going to be a huge hit with anyone who loves a dewy eye look, sparkle and glow. I can see these quads pairing beautifully with the Westman Atelier line. I will be keeping my eye on the brand to see what they come up with next.
