Top 3: Night Cream

In lieu of doing a favorites post today I’m going to start my Top 3 series (which I’ve been wanting to do forever). I’m always asked for my number one favorite which is really hard to do. However, doing a Top 3 is much easier so I’ll start with my my Top 3 favorite night creams ever. No surprise that all three of these come from some of my all time favorite brands. Allies of Skin 1A Overnight Mask now called 1A Retinal + Peptides Overnight Mask is my favorite multi-purpose night cream.

This is a cream you can use and save on extra steps. It’s a fabulous night cream by itself but I tend to use it most on those nights when I’m super tired and I don’t want to do much of a skincare routine. It’s so effective you can cut out steps. I just cleanse with an oil based cleanser that emulsifies so I have one step cleansing, apply a hydrating serum (you can skip this step but I find my skin suffers if I do), facial oil then Allies of Skin. I can get ready in less than five minutes for bed.

The cream is so active and powerful it can be a touch drying so an oil is essential with this one. In the winter I find just a hint of a balm on top is perfection. I love the airless pump tube it fits easily in a drawer or cabinet. Allies of Skin makes phenomenal products they are all incredibly well formulated and they all work extremely well. African Botanics Fleurs d’Afrique Intensive Recovery Cream was that one item I splurged on for my birthday last year and I never thought it would become an all time favorite. I had such a hard time spending $350 on a face cream so it took me a while to grab it. It’s such a phenomenal cream though. It’s one of those that once you try it you understand why it’s so good. It has a pudding like texture that’s so incredibly divine.

It’s a cream you can put on and know your skin will be hydrated, smooth, soft, and any irritation or problems you were having are now better. It stimulates cellular renewal, plumps, hydrates & firms in addition to its anti-inflammatory, soothing, calming and redness reducing properties. The texture is amazingly light yet super nourishing. When I want results combined with soothing hydration and no heavy feel I reach for this. Full review HERE.

Zelens 3t Complex is most often used as a night cream for me but during the heart of winter it can double as a day cream. It’s super light in texture yet manages to keep my skin hydrated all night long. Every time I use it my lines and wrinkles are magically gone by morning (obviously they come back by the end of the day after many facial expressions). Over time it does help reduce their depth. It has a 3t (triterpenoid) complex enriched with 15 precious botanical extracts, 5 marine algae and 7 herbal oils.

The triterpenoid is ursolic acid which has become one of my favorite ingredients. Every product I use with this ingredient does phenomenal things for my skin. It’s quite an impressive ingredient. It’s also in my OUMERE oil serum and the new Revision DEJ Face ream I just started testing. This is easily my favorite Zelens product ever and it’s a phenomenal cream. It’s the lightest textured of the bunch. Full review HERE.

If I only could have three night creams for the rest of my life it would be these three. They’re all incredibly powerful and effective anti-aging creams. None of these were gifted I bought them all and I would buy them again multiple times over (Zelens 3t Complex I have bought multiple times over, I just discovered the other two in the last year and haven’t run out yet). If you’re looking for a night cream that lasts all night and is actually effective at anti-aging not just moisturizing these are for you.
