Zelens Active Concealer: Review & Swatches

Zelens makes amazing high end skincare, they recently launched a color line. There is currently two blushes, two lip balms, a few lip glosses, a mascara, two primers, this concealer and two foundations. I bought one foundation to try and the concealer. I love Zelens skincare which I will be getting around to reviewing one day. The concealer comes in three shades, light, medium and dark. I decided to try medium or #2 as a NC 25-27. The concealer is supposed to have skincare benefits similar to their Triple Action Eye Cream. It's not cheap at $62 for 3mL. Its a click style pen with a brush applicator.

The formula is creamy, thick enough to cover quite well but still able to blend easily. You only need a very small amount. It doesn't crease or look cakey. So formula wise plus having the skincare benefits it's a win. However, the shade is totally wrong for me. It's very beige and neutral almost looks cool toned on my skin. My skin is very yellow and I have dark circles so I need a yellow concealer to look best on me. This would be great for a more neutral skintone or NW20-25 I imagine. I am curious if dark is a bit darker and warmer, but I may wait to see some more swatches before I buy it blindly. The Zelens color line just launched in October at Barney's only as far as I know. It's at Space NK in the UK but not on the US site. So if you are neutral or cooler toned and not as yellow as me, the formula is great. For anyone with my skintone it kind of makes me look a little like a Racoon.

For comparison I swatched it with ones that work color wise for me. I have reviewed all of them previously except for the Cle de Peau. Top to Bottom: Cle de Peau Almond, Zelens #2, Tom Ford Concealing Pen Light/Medium, Surratt #5, Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector #104
