Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate: Review

I like Clinique Moisture Surge products. They're cheap, effective and non-irritating. Suitable for all skin types. I was super excited to see Clinique release the Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate--An antioxidant-infused water-gel that's ultra-light, yet delivers a 179% moisture boost for visibly plumper, smoother skin. Details per Sephora:

This supercharged water-gel hydrator instantly quenches dehydrated skin and is so intensely hydrating, it boosts skin's moisture reservoir for a full 24 hours. Liquid-sphere technology combines water-binding ingredients with encapsulated antioxidants to help break the cycle of dryness and environmental stress that can lead to premature aging.

This is a hydrating water gel product that's great for layering. It's clear, fragrance free, not greasy nor sticky. This adds a pretty intense amount of moisture for the light texture that it is. It absorbs completely in about two minutes or less. The gel has suspended antioxidant encapsulated beads in it. You can see them in the tube as well as feel them when you go to rub it into your skin. The beads burst with ease and after you rub it into your skin you can't even tell there were encapsulated beads to begin with.

This shouldn't irritate anyone and would be suitable for any skin type. Those with oily skin can use it as a moisturizer. Anyone with combination to normal skin can use this layered under a lotion. Those with dry skin can use this under a cream for an extra shot of moisture. This product is much more hydrating than a regular hydrating gel serum. This is also more hydrating than Drunk Elephant's B-Hydra or any of the other hydrating gel style products I've tried.

This manages to be lightweight while delivering a powerful amount of hydration. It's easy to layer. I do wish Clinique fixed the description to include which antioxidants are encapsulated. I think they could have talked more about the technology of the product in it's description. It's reasonably priced at $39 for 1.6 oz. If you like to layer products and want to add some moisture, I would recommend trying it. Plus the beads are just fun to smash around.
