So I have been wanting to talk about European luxury spa brand ESPA for a while. I have a selection of their product to go over for you. I will admit I’ve always heard of them and been curious but had never gotten around to trying them. I have to say the line really surprised me because it was better than I thought it would be. Everything comes in a luxurious heavyweight frosted glass packaging minus the micellar water & shower oil which are frosted plastic with pumps (most appropriate a shower oil is plastic).
A responsive, lightweight nutrient-rich moisturizer that balances the complexion while delivering deep, long-lasting hydration where your skin needs it most. South African Resurrection Plant revives dehydrated skin, Navarra Asparagus Extract targets the early signs of skin ageing while Yeast Bioferment revitalises by night for visibly beautiful skin.
This cream has such a divine light texture & a light fresh citrus floral scent. It’s super moisturizing without being too heavy. It’s perfect for winter days right now but in the summer I will move this to summer nights. This has sunflower & sacha inchi oils, multiple orange oils, vitamin C, multiple floral extracts, asparagus extract, yeast bioferment (probiotic) and resurrection plant. I love the resurrection plant. It can bring itself back from a desiccated state. This leaves my skin super hydrated without feeling heavy or greasy. The moisture lasts all day and my skin is super soft. It’s quite nice.
Tri-Active Advanced Instant Facial
An advanced age-defying 3-in-1 serum, essence and treatment oil to instantly smooth and hydrate while brightening the complexion, for skin that is revitalised and glowing. Antioxidant Macroalgae Cell Extract helps smooth the appearance of fine lines, White Truffle Extract helps boost elasticity, while Coconut, Jojoba and Avocado Oils help nourish and strengthen skin’s moisture barrier.
Directions Warm 1-2 pumps in the palm of your hands. Place your hands on both cheeks, then one hand on your forehead and one on your chin to apply the formula. Slide hands up your décolleté and neck, then work in small upward circular movements to spread over the rest of your face up to your hair line.
This product feels like a facial oil meets lotion hybrid. It’s got a lotion texture & hydrates more than a lotion. It has a citrus scent and comes with a pump. It’s got shea butter, vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate, coconut, sweet almond, macadamia, jojoba, evening primrose, avocado and multiple forms of orange oils. It’s also got white truffle & macroalgae extract. This makes a nice day lotion if you want to skip your facial oil. I would honestly use it more if it didn’t contain coconut oil. My skin just doesn’t like coconut oil it makes it break out if I use it a lot. So this is more a weekend or now and then treatment for me.
An aromatic body oil to help relax a busy mind. Sandalwood, Rose Geranium and Frankincense help unwind with their soothing and restful properties. Myrrh helps ease the mind, while Sweet Almond Oil deeply nourishes for beautifully supple skin.
This body oil is medium weight. It’s not too heavy or greasy, but it is a more nourishing body oil. I like mixing a few drops in a lotion or cream for long lasting hydration. This body oil combines coconut, soybean, sweet almond, avocado, carrot and sunflower oils with essential oils. It has a relaxing scent with sandalwood, rose geranium, frankincense and myrrh. I love how the sweet almond balances the essential oils and keeps it from being too green or potent.

I am so in love with this one. This shower oil has a spicy scent from the clove, peppermint and eucalyptus oils. It’s nourishing and hydrating, more so than a regular shower wash. The oil textured wash glides on wet skin then it lightly lathers for a super hydrating and relaxing shower experience. The warm spicy scent so wakes me up and invigorates my senses. It makes me wants to take a shower because it’s that good. I would repurchase in a heartbeat.
A gentle, non-rinse cleanser that swiftly removes make-up and daily impurities to purify, tone and condition the skin. Hyaluronic Acid hydrates and Witch Hazel gently tones, while Rose Water gently soothes for refreshed, replenished and beautifully balanced skin.
This was so much better than I expected it to be. Normally a micellar water is just a micellar water to me but this one manages to remove my eye makeup with ease and isn’t oily at all. It feels hydrating and soothing as well. It’s got glycerin, rose flower water, witch hazel, sodium hyaluronate, coconut and a few essential oils. It has a slippery hydrating texture and faintly smells like green citrus. I’m surprised it has no oily feel to it. I’m smitten with it. This is the only other micellar water that I have really liked beyond Bioderma Sensibo. I typically only use a micellar water to remove eye makeup, I don’t use them for all over makeup removal so that how I tested this. This one was great because it removes eye makeup without tugging, doesn’t feel oily or make my contacts blur and it doesn’t sting or burn my eyes.
An intensive mineral-rich treatment mask that deeply conditions, to leave hair soft and smooth, and the scalp nourished. Vitamin C-rich Watercress and Red Clay soothe and nourish the scalp, while Apricot Kernel Oil conditions to help promote stronger, healthy looking, manageable hair.
Suitable for all hair types, especially dry or weak hair. Can also be used to soften and nourish dry skin on the body.
Directions Massage into scalp and through damp hair. Leave for 20 minutes or overnight if preferred and rinse. Follow with Purifying Shampoo and Nourishing Conditioner.
This is a unique fun treatment. It combines castor, apricot, grape & sunflower oils with red clay for a hydrating and scalp reviving detox mask. It has a thick creamy texture that smells faintly of citrus. Most ESPAs stuff has a citrus lean in scent. This is a pre-shampoo treatment. I apply in the tub while I’m soaking then proceed with washing my hair 20 minutes later. It left my hair super shiny, bouncy and it felt balanced. It helped calm and sooth my scalp plus it balanced the oils in my hair. I really liked it. I wish I could use it more often but I don’t have the time for a pre-shampoo treatment a lot.
Overall I was really impressed with these ESPA products. My favorites are definitely the shower oil, micellar water and hair mask. The only one I didn’t get along with was purely because of the coconut oil, no other reason. They have a huge line of products, it’s almost overwhelming to look at their site as there’s so many choices. I think I have a new brand obsession and I really want to try more from their line. I have a feeling they have a lot of hidden gems.
