I love Herbivore Botanicals. They do all natural products, have great ingredients and use a lot of natural coconut which I love. The Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist is my most recent trial from Herbivore. I love love the Coco Rose Body Polish and this Face Mist smells the same. Like natural coconut with a hint of rose. Nothing too powdery strong nor like fake rose. The glass spray bottle comes in two sizes 4 fl oz for $32 and 2 fl oz for $16.
Per Herbivore's website: Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist is created with pure plant actives — no fillers. A base of coconut water is infused with youth-boosting hibiscus flower petals and moisture-enhancing rose to tone, hydrate, and soften all skin types.
Coconut Water: Excellent for instantly rehydrating the skin and providing a new glow. In Hawaii, Coconut Water is known as “noelani,” which translates to “dew from the heavens.”
Hibiscus Flower: Naturally rich in malic and citric acid to provide natural exfoliation and speed up cell turnover, resulting in a more even skin-tone. Also provides an intense boost in moisture and helps the skin to maintain moisture due to its high mucilage content — mucilage is a sticky substance secreted by the plant in order to retain moisture.
Rose: Hydrating, high in antioxidants, and excellent for reducing redness and inflammation.
Witch Hazel: Witch hazel has the ability to tighten skin and reduce inflammation. It is an ideal natural remedy for treating discoloration and puffiness under and around eyes.
Aloe Vera: Aloe is light, healing, and hydrating. It moisturizes the skin without leaving a greasy feel making it a great choice for all skin types. It also contains natural salicylic acid so it is excellent for prevention and treatment of blemishes.
Full list of ingredients: Aqua (Water), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Disillate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water (Aloe Water), Rosa Damascena (Rose) Hydrosol, Leucidal (Radish Root Ferment), Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Neer Sikkappu Red
So it's a little overpriced. All Herbivore is that way. They're great products just a little pricey for what it is. You usually pay more for those small batch companies though. When you order through their website you wait a bit while they hand make your items. So that's nice as it's fresh. It's not a groundbreaking product. It's coconut water, witch hazel, aloe vera with rose and hibiscus flower extract. It's a nice product in a classy package.
I am not a fan of the spray pump they put in it. I found it took a while to return to it's full up position making it hard to spray a few times rapidly. You have to wait for the full recoil so the time between sprays is long compared to most sprays. Now this may not bother many people, but it was slightly irritating to me.
Coconut water is full of antioxidants and it's not comedogenic. Witch hazel is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. Aloe vera and rose are hydrating and calming. I found it pleasant to use, I experienced no adverse side effects besides the delayed pumping time. I would repurchase it. It was hydrating, calming and refreshing. With a great natural coconut rose scent. You can grab it off of Herbivore's website, Sephora and Nordstrom.
