With the year coming to a close I want to talk about a brand of hair care styling products that have truly been phenomenal. IGK has been above the rest for me. The price is also on point, none of the line is ridiculously expensive. It's an obtainable well done brand that performs.
Down & Out Dirty Spray is a texturizing spray that gives a good amount of grit to the hair. It gives you a piecey textured look. This has more hold & strength than Beach Waves. If you want a texture spray with a ton of hold this is for you. I like it for a messier look. I use this on wet hair after the shower then I air dry. You can use this on dry hair as well but I prefer wet as I never blow dry. I like an easy product that can be used on wet hair for air drying. This delivers in the easy aspect but it can be overdone so start light and build it up. Details per Sephora:
A texturizing spray that gives the perfect amount of morning-after grit and piecey separation.
Key benefits
- Has a lightweight, buildable texturizer
- Controls and separates hair for easy styling
- Boosts shine
This nutrient-rich texturizing spray gives your hair just the right amount of grit, creating a third-day "lived-in" look without actually skipping the wash. Use it to give hair piecey separation or for extra grip while styling. Coconut oil nourishes and strengthens hair, while sunflower extract conditions and seals in moisture.
Great for prepping hair for pony tails or braids because of added control and grip, this product is color safe with UV protection, vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without mineral oil, petroleum, and gluten.
Down & Out’s fragrance features lush, vibrant notes of guava, coconut water, pink lotus, midnight violet, and vanilla.
Directions
-Shake well.
-Hold 10 to 12 inches away from dry hair and spray from mid-lengths to ends for instant third-day hair with grit and shine.
-Use your fingers to separate and style.
-For extra grit: use before styling braids, top knots, up-do's, etc.
-To create a sleek ponytail: spray on ends for piecey texture and definition.
If you do it right with a light hand you'll get easy waves with a touch of shine like this:
Beach Club Texture Spray is my all time favorite holy grail texture/wave spray. It is in short phenomenal. This is a salt free wave spray. I've really come to love the salt free ones as they give great texture without the drying effects. I love the fine mist and continuous spray of this one. It makes for such an easy application. Just start light and build it up. Salt free ones can be overdone and lead to a sticky mess. The IGK one is so great because it gives the right balance of grit with wave with piecey texture. It lasts all day, no falling flat and doesn't frizz out like salt sprays. It's never crunchy or sticky. Details per Sephora:

Jet Lag Invisible Dry Shampoo is another favorite of mine from the line. It is invisible, super lightweight and not powdery or too drying. Yet it works beautifully. I've really been impressed by the whole IGK line so far. The products are very well done. The mists are fine, the products are all layerable. It's affordable and effective. There's nothing not to love. I look forward to exploring the line more. Down & Out Dirty Spray is the only one I would skip repurchasing because it's heavier the the Beach Club Texture Spray. Beach Club & Jet Lag are holy grail staples in my hair styling wardrobe.
