One of my favorite ingredient discoveries of this year was green coffee seed oil. I want it literally in everything now. I saw KIN Skincare (formerly KIN SKIN) on Instagram and has to investigate further. KIN Skincare is an Australian green coffee oil based skincare line. It's a small indie brand. Created by Ashling, a former aesthetician & makeup artist, KIN Skincare uses beans grown and pressed in Australia. They have three products. The Coffee + Honey Myrtle Mist comes in a small 30ml bottle. It smells divinely like honey & the inci list is simple. It looks like the line is being repackaged with new style labels and she's reformulating it by adding a second hyaluronic acid to it. Honey myrtle is uplifting & purifying, supposedly it's similar to tea tree & lemon balm. It'll be back December 28th.
Benefits
Smoothing, Softening + Plumping
Strengthening
Even out skin tone
Soothes Inflammation

Honey myrtle hydrosol, green coffee seed extract, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate (super low molecular weight), phenethyl alcohol, lactic acid
The Green Coffee Skin Elixir is pure green coffee seed oil. Nothing else. It has a rich green hue and a medium to heavier texture. I prefer using this one at night due to the texture. You can just mix a drop or two on days for a lighter oil coverage. Green coffee oil is high in fatty acids, vitamin E and sterols. It's got polyphenols like chlorogenic, quinic & ferulic acid making it a powerful antioxidant. Some studies have shown that coffee essential oil helps with elastin and collagen production. It’s also anti-inflammatory & helps with all the basic of anti-aging like firmness, texture and wrinkles.
I like using this on it's own but I also bought it to mix a drop here or there when my products don't have green coffee seed oil. It's really affordable. You get 30ml for $58 and because it's so potent this could last all year for you. Especially if you're only using a touch here or there. It also has a very potent scent. I can't put my finger on it exactly-green & earthy. While it's got a heavier texture initially it's not greasy at all. It absorbs in about 5-10 minutes and never sits on the skin. If you're looking to add a super power ingredient to your skincare routine, look at green coffee seed oil.

The Coffee + Yarrow Gel-to-Milk Cleanser is a gel-oil balm, with green coffee oil. I'm in love. Details per KIN Skincare:

I liked this as both a night cleanser and as a morning one. It has oil so it can remove makeup just fine. It emulsifies to rinse clean. I do tend to like my gel-oil balms the most as morning cleansers but it really can be either. It can also be used as a hydrating mask. I love the pump style dispenser. This cleanser comes with a bamboo cleansing cloth. This has a thick gel texture with an oil based feel. The scent is green and earthy from the coffee oil but it's got a slightly citrus hint from a few natural essential oils. I'm obsessed with gel-balm cleansers and this one is stellar with green coffee oil, honey, avocado & black sesame oils. It cleans and leaves my skin soft and hydrated.
I LOVE this brand:) It is one of my top three facial mists for sure. Wish she sold in the US.
