When I first heard of La Bella Figura I decided to just 'window shop' and make a wish list for future purchases. That didn't really go so well as I fell in love with the ingredients and formulas on first glance. I also ended up purchasing these four products by 'window shopping'. This was followed by two oils and another serum but I'll save those for a future post. I love the glass pump packaging of all their products. I will say their formulations and inci lists are to die for. It's a very well done line that deserves to be in the green beauty spotlight.

Crema Supernova is a serum built into a moisturizer highlighting Vitamin C benefits from kakadu plum extract. Use in the am for noticeably brighter, hydrated and luminous skin.

This cream has a medium weight lotion texture. It's never heavy or greasy but is very hydrating. The base is aloe, rose and calendula water. Add in some cupuacu butter (contains hydrating phytosterols, antioxidant polyphenols, it's also anti-inflammatory), sacha inchi (antioxidant, high in linoleic acid) & maracuja oils (from passion fruit, also an antioxidant and rich in linoleic acid) for hydrating. Kakadu plum is getting a lot of attention lately and for good reason. It's has a high concentration of natural vitamin C. Add in some sodium hyaluronate, Andiroba fruit extract (anti-inflammatory and hydrating as a natural moisturizing factor), antioxidant powerhouse superoxide dismutase, arnica (anti-inflammatory, soothing), immortelle oil (anti-inflammatory) & seabuckthorn fruit oil (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, contains high amount of palmitoleic acid or Omega 7).
Finish this off with a bit of blue tansy and rose otto oils for a light, natural and dreamy scent. This also conatins one of my favorite oils-prickly pear. Packed full of antioxidants it has a very high concentration of vitamin E. It also contains phytosterols, polyphenols and is high in linoleic acid or Omega 6. It's a very powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory day cream. It's a touch heavy for me during the summer months but I'm excited for it to cool down so I can pull this out again.

Ingredients

This cleanser has a very light gel texture. I love the aloe, rose and lavender water base. Add in some cupuacu & marfura (from cape mahogany trees, high in essential fatty acids, it's also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial) butters to hydrate. I love carrot seed oil so I love to see that in multiple La Bella Figura products. It's high in antioxidants & vitamin A but it also contains vitamins C and E. Carrot oil really gives a glow and rejuvenates the skin. Marshmallow root is becoming more popular. It soothes the skin.
Pinneapple, pumpkin (my favorite enzyme) & papaya extract naturally exfoliate the skin with their gentle enzymes. Detox the skin a little with white clay and witch hazel. I love that they included reishi & shiitake mushrooms. Mushrooms have a multitude of functions: anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, hydrating, brightening as well as helping increase collagen and elastin production. This has some pink grapefruit and rose otto oils for a light uplifting scent. I like this as either a morning cleanse or second cleanse at night. It's lightly exfoliating and detoxing without dehydrating or stripping the skin.
An intelligent overnight skin cream formulated for stressed-out and mature skin. This reparative moisturizer melts onto the skin and resets the complexion with hydrating Mafura Butter, resveratrol concentrated Grapeseed Oil and energizing Green Coffee Bean extract.
Note: The color of this product varies from pink to pinkish brown due the seasonal extracts in this formula. This is perfectly normal with organic material and does not affect the potency.

This is a divine night cream. It's got a thin enough texture to not feel heavy yet it's very nourishing and moisturizing. This cream has a base of aloe, rose water and wax from olives (very hydrating and Vegan compared to beeswax). This cream also contains wonderful moisturizing things like mafura butter, sacha inchi oil, grapeseed oil (lightweight, high in antioxidants vitamin E & resvertrol), prickly pear oil and extract, olive extract & jojoba seed oil. There are some fun other extracts in this cream like ferulic acid (antioxidant), Dragon's Blood extract (a healing resin with antiviral & antimicrobial properties, it's full of antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties as well), antioxidant CoQ10, green coffee bean extract (high in fatty acids, vitamin E and sterols making it an antioxidant. Some studies have shown that coffee essential oil helps with elastin and collagen production, it’s anti-inflammatory & helps with all the basic of anti-aging like firmness, texture and wrinkles) & saffron flower oil (rich in vitamins A & C as well as antioxidant carotenoids that fend off free radicals).
This cream is enhanced in scent by rose otto and blue tansy oils. I'm loving this combo. This is a pretty nourishing cream. I liked this the most in the winter. It was almost a tad too much for me in the hot summer. It was never heavy or occlusive feeling, just rich in oils and butters. Like a cross between a balm and a cream. I never broke out using it. I really love the blend of antioxidants and hydrators. I love saffron oil it's such a unique ingredient. I'm also totally obsessed with green coffee bean extract. If a balm is too much for you but you like the idea of more butters or oils than a traditional cream than you might want to try this one. It's a really great formulation.
One product, so many ways to use it! This gorgeous cleansing concentrate dissolves makeup, debris and pollution on dry or wet skin rinsing off residue without stripping. Our buttery soft cleanser encourages hydration highlighting moisture retentive cupuacu butter and aids in purging buildup with active lemon kernel oil and coriander CO2. Our favorite way to use this refreshing cleanser is to massage gently into skin and steam off in the shower for spa-like effects that trail soft, supple skin and a clean slate ready to glow.
Ingredients
Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupuacu) Butter*, Camellia Oleifera (Camellia) Seed Oil*, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil*, Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate (Wax Derived From Olives), Decyl Glucoside (Plant Source), Citrus Limon (Lemon) Kernel Oil*, Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Seed Oil CO2, Vetiveria Zizanioides (Vetiver) Oil CO2*, Citrus Aurantium Var. Amara (Orange) Blossom Extract*, Arnica Montana (Flower) Extract CO2*
This balm cleanser has the most unique texture. I was intrigued when I saw it on Instagram and honestly it's the reason I got into the La Bella Figura line. Instead of being an oily balm or even a melty balm, The Clean Slate has more of a wax and butter type texture. It's thicker and less greasy than a traditional heavier oil cleansing balm. This balm has a nice base of cupuacu butter (contains hydrating phytosterols, antioxidant polyphenols, it's also anti-inflammatory), camellia (great all around oil high in polyphenol antioxidants, Omega 6 fatty acids) and grape seed oil. Then the olive wax helps give this balm its fun texture.
Lemon kernel oil helps lightly exfoliate with natural AHAs. Coriander seed oil is an antioxidant high in vitamin C, plus it's antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and good at detoxing. In case you're wondering what the CO2 is on the inci list it means the oils are extracted using carbon dioxide. Supposedly the oils extracted this way have a closer composition to the natural plant versus when extracted by other means (steam or distill). The scents of the oils are also more pure this way. Orange blossom extract (neroli) soothes and tones while adding a nice scent. Neroli is one of my favorites. Arnica is also soothing. Beyond having a wonderful scent vetiver oil supposedly helps with dark spots.
The Clean Slate has an emulsifier in it so it will rinse mostly clean. No balm cleanser ever rinses completely clean but they don't need to. The hint of oil left behind is one of my favorite parts of an oil based cleanser or balm. The Clean Slate will easily tackle and remove all your makeup and SPF. It has a very light citrus herbal scent. I like this as a first cleanse at night though I have used it as my only cleanse at night many times as well. It's one you don't have to follow with a second cleanse if you don't want to.
I've really come to enjoy the La Bella Figura line. It's such a well done luxe green beauty brand. The formulations and ingredients are well executed. Out of these four items The Clean Slate is by far my favorite. La Bella Figura is actually coming out with a new limited edition charcoal version of the cleansing balm next week and I'm excited to grab one. Have you tried anything from this line yet?
