There's just something so luxurious about La Mer and their foundations. I really enjoy their The Soft Fluid Foundation and the new cushions have been killing it so I had to try the La Mer The Luminous Lifting Cushion Foundation during the Sephora sale. Details per La Mer:
Introducing iconic skincare plus radiant coverage—all in one compact. With healing hydration from Miracle Broth™ and color capsule technology, give skin a lift of luminosity—for a fresh, flawless look and a plumper, firmer feel. Includes a refill and additional sponge applicator.
The case is a stunning metallic rose silver combo. I love that this version comes with a refill and extra sponge applicator. These new cushion foundations have been really nice. They're more like really light coverage fluid foundations. The old cushions I remember were too sheer and sometimes oily so I was never into them. I'm really enjoying these new generation ones. This La Mer one has quite a bit of coverage actually. It's not a lot but it's a buildable light to medium foundation. This cushion gives a satin finish that has fairly good longevity. I get 8 hours out of it before it starts fading. I love the sponge it comes with it feels just like the Chanel one. It's a great quality sponge, it's holding up well with washing.
This compact is refillable and it has a cover that keeps the sponge separate from the foundation. It's portable, luxe and sleek. It doesn't have the typical La Mer scent as much as their other products which makes me kind of sad as I adore the scent of La Mer. If the other La Mer foundation was too heavy for you this one should be up your ally. It's a lightweight fluid foundation that gives a light to medium buildable satin finish. It's similar to Tom Ford, Armani and La Prairie. I also have Cle de Peau coming so I can test them all and compare. There are minor differences between these brands, they're all fairly similar. It's packaging or coverage level that's the main difference. They all seem to hold up well and give a nice natural finish to the skin. If you fancy La Mer and rose gold luxury you might consider the La Mer version.
