Another cloudy day here, in almost winter Montana, with bad light, so onto more skincare. My first venture into Omorovicza was with the Thermal Cleansing Balm a few years ago. I dismissed it as some expensive dirty black oil balm that I was not into at the time. I didn't see how it could cleanse your skin.
Omorovicza is a luxury skincare line that's based on a Hungarian thermal pool and it's mineral rich properties. I also now understand how cleansing balms work. The oil in them dissolves your makeup oil, making them great at removing makeup. This one you are supposed to wash off with their mitt or I use a muslin cloth. This removes the excess oil the water doesn't remove. Cleansing balms don't strip your skin. I do however double cleanse and use the Ormovicza Cleansing Foam after or another cleanser to get rid of the extra oil as well as impurities from the day. The main ingredients are moor mud from the Hungarian thermal pool, sweet almond, jojoba and almond oil and thermal water. It smells odd if you're used to perfume products, this has a earthy smell. From the mud I assume. You get used to it. It is a thick balm, you liquify it in your fingers or palms it's then easy to spread on your face.
After this I tried the Deep Cleansing Mask which is on the right above. It's a light grey color. This is like a detoxifying clay mask, but it isn't drying, it has this moist feel. It's main ingredients are thermal water and the Hungarian mud with emulsifiers. It works on drawing those impurities out yet without drying. I like that. It has quickly become one of my favorites and is in weekly rotation. I like this better than my regular old clay based masks. It does dry some after application, but not like a clay mask does.
To show the textures, the black being the balm, and the grey being the mask(these are minis in my hand, not the full size in the first picture, so you don't think full size fits in my hand):
Omorovicza is definitely a luxury brand, but I have to admit every product I use from them my skin just loves it. I'm addicted. You can buy them from their main website. They ship in the US and have a rewards program. You can also buy them from places in the UK for cheaper than here. Cultbeauty is one site, they do free shipping once you reach the minimum, the VAT makes it look the same price, but once you add a US address to ship to, the VAT comes off the items in your cart. You can get the cleansing balm for around $60 vs the website $100. Every item does not have the same level of savings, some have very big differences, some very little.
