Sonia G: Worker Two, Builder Two & Pencil Two

I’ve had this post sitting in my queue for a while. With the launch of a new Pro Sonia G range it seems time to post about three extra brushes I grabbed earlier this year. You can read my post about the original launch of Sonia G HERE.

Worker Two Brush is a round paddle shaped basic lay down brush. It’s made with undyed goat hair. It’s really similar to Worker One but in an undyed hair finish. The undyed goat hair is a bit stiffer and it picks up more color. You can also use undyed goat with liquid and cream formulas. Dyed goat like Worker One is more for powder only. This one is great for picking up harder powders as well as laying down a heavier finish than Worker One which is softer.

Left Worker Two, Right Worker One:

Pencil Two is a dense pencil brush made with undyed goat hair. It’s stiffer than Pencil One. It’s also a bit larger in size. It works with creams, powders and liquids. This is great for the crease, outer “v” & under the eye. This will give you more color than Pencil One because it’s denser. It’s also larger.

Left Pencil Two, Right Pencil One:

Builder Two is a smaller round paddle shaped brush. It’s made with the same undyed goat hair. It’s dense and picks up powder well. It’s larger than Builder One. This is great for a highlighter brush on the browbone or for packing on glitter or shimmer shades. It has actually become my devoted cream eyeshadow brush. This picks up my hard dense Chanel Ombré Premiere with ease. That’s my favorite use for it.

Left Builder Two, Right Builder One:

These brushes all have their uses. I love the Japanese craftsmanship. It’s like no other. Dyed hair is best for powders in general and gives a softer finish. The undyed goat of these three brushes makes for a better multi-purpose brush. It does powder, liquid and creams. Sonia G makes excellent quality brushes. I love the red, sparkly, thick, weighty handles.

  1. Thanks SO much for the side-by-side comparisons! I’ve been debating whether or not to get Pencil Two and Builder Two, but seeing the size difference has helped me decide to stick with the One series brushes I’ve already got. Thanks for saving me money, lol!
