The December Boxwalla subscription box is here and it features Blüh Alchemy and Live Botanical. The theme is 'The Three Textures of Winter'. I love their themes as they tend to gear towards what you need for that season, plus as always I love the bi-monthly aspect so you don't end up with too much stuff. The curations are always the best and the box value as you know is always great. I'm not a stranger to Blüh Alchemy. The Multi-C Serum I've tried before which is a creamy gel with an orange color. It has an herbal scent. This has an aloe and rose distillate base with kakadu plum and tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (derivate with promising brightening effects). Ferulic acid enhances the formulation and then it has other botanical extracts and tripeptide-29. It's a really gorgeous textured serum, the frankincense and lavender oils definitely give this its scent. It has a special formulation and it's really a nice product if you're looking for a more green beauty extract, vitamin C derivative formula. It's kind of an all in one serum as it has antioxidants plus things like MSM, peptides, green coffee extract (y'all know how much I love this one), hyaluronic acid and licorice. It's well rounded and you could use just this in the morning as your only serum in your routine as it's jam packed.

The Body Oil is a new launch for the brand and OMG it is amazing. It has a medium weight texture that goes on like silk. It's never heavy or greasy but it's more hydrating and silky than a typical dry oil. I love the base blend with cold pressed rice bran, camellia, sesame and tamanu oils. Plus it has hinoki wood, Peru balsam, holy basil, tonka bean, patchouli and I love that they put arnica in it which is anti-inflammatory (great for muscle aches). The scent of this is fantastic. It's like the warm, woody light pine meets a hint of sweet vanilla and resin. I'm not a huge body oil fan but I will be using every last drop of this one. It's that good. I'm not into overtly sweet scents and this one is like a kiss of vanilla, nothing too gourmand.

I am also not a stranger to the Live Botanical brand. The Sanctuary Barrier Balm is this whipped gorgeous sunny yellow balm that you all with love. It's essential oil and fragrance free but it has this nice light earthy scent. The whipped texture is so light yet it's also so nourishing and repairing. This is going to be perfection for winter. I love an essential oil free balm as a last layer to really soothe and keep my rosacea prone skin happy. This has murumuru, tucuma, uccuba and bacuri butters. I really adore balms that have some other butters beyond just shea butter. I love the exotic ones like these Amazonian ones. These ones really help soothe plus they have raw enzymes in the butters helping with rough patches. Carrot, hazelnut, pumpkin and buriti oils add antioxidants to the balm. Carrot and pumpkin are some of my favorite oils. This also has some shiitake mushroom extract (another favorite). The rice bran wax and pomegranate sterols help the balm form a nice occlusive seal. I've been using this for the last week and I'm utterly obsessed. If you like balms you'll love it. It's really nourishing but not too heavy.
