You’ve undoubtedly seen me talk about 5YINA from time to time. The brand is based on a foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They’re products are focused on four seasons each including a facial oil and hydrolat. They also have a really nice creamy cleanser. The brand also has a great biocellulose sheet mask and a decolletage balm. I’ve tried minis of all the oils and two of the hydrolats. I’m on number two of the cleanser as well. This time I’m going to talk about the Spring or Enlighten Hydrolat & Facial Oil, plus the really nice Divine Bio-Adaptive Cleanser.

I love the small sizes of these hydrolats because I can actually finish one. They come in luxury white glass bottles. I love the interesting combinations of ingredients 5YINA has in its products. This particular hydrolat has aloe (soothing, hydrating), rose distillate (soothing, hydrating), immortelle distillate (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory), witch hazel (astringent), willow bark (natural BHAs), glycerin (hydrating), white tea (antioxidant, balancing), poria cocos (mushroom, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory), licorice (soothing, antioxidant), peony (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory), schisandra berry (adaptogenic), astragalus (hydrating, firming) and a few essential oils. The scent from the essential oils is very light. I find this mist refreshing and soothing.

This also comes packaged in luxury white glass. The oil is glossy and smooth with a luxe texture. You can always tell a good quality oil. The color of the oil is a light yellow. The scent is light, fresh and slightly floral. This has camellia (antioxidant rich), grapeseed (light, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory), safflower (high in linoleic acid), rosehip (brightening, antioxidant rich), pomegranate (antioxidant rich), evening primrose (soothing and hydrating) and meadowfoam (super lightweight, anti-inflammatory) oils plus herbal extracts like astragalus root, bai zhu (antioxidant), tremella (snow mushroom, hydrating polysaccharides), maitake (mushroom, hydrating polysaccharides), Chinese angelica root (brighten), schisandra berry, peony, licorice, gromwell (soothe, reduce redness & inflammation), immortelle, and rose extracts. I really enjoy this oil. It has a light to medium weight texture, it’s packed full of antioxidants which is perfect for the spring season as it matches the increasing bright feeling of the season.

**Naturally occurring in essential oils
This cleanser comes packaged in the same luxe white glass and has a pump. The cleanser has a light creamy texture and a sort of a dusty pink peach color. The cleanser has a light herbal, slightly floral and citrus scent. I love the light creamy texture. Some creamy cleansers are there for the really gentle soothing cleanse, this one I love more for its light creamy texture plus its regenerating and energizing feel on the skin. This cleanser is antioxidant rich, plus it has clay and moringa to slightly detox/purify. White tea helps balance and is antioxidant rich. Pearl powder gently exfoliates. Job’s Tears is brightening and antioxidant rich. You see some of the same ingredients across the brand. Overall it’s still a gentle creamy cleanser but it also is antioxidant rich, anti-inflammatory and it helps detox/purify. It’s great as a morning cleanser when you don’t want a gel or just another simple creamy cleanser. I’m on bottle two because it’s good. I also love it’s small size as I can actually use it up before it goes bad since it’s a natural brand.
I love the brand overall, it’s unique and interesting. The autumn oil I think is still my favorite overall along with the cleanser.
