Here's part two of the April Samples & Empties post. I had too many for just one. Quick thoughts about each starting above.
OSKIA Renaissance Hand Cream: This was pretty hydrating. Not light, but not heavy enough for night. It did have a really strong powdery scent, I would buy it again for that reason even though I love OSKIA and the ingredients.
Salon Grafix Invisible Dry Shampoo: Cheap. Used to be a staple I used for years. I find myself using less dry shampoo than I needed to in the past. I'm using less moisturizing conditioners. I love that this one is invisible. It's not very string for a dry shampoo. That's why I liked it. Review here.
Renee Rouleau Revitalizing Ginseng Toner: I liked this. A simple hydrating ginseng toner. Review here. Now replaced with a new version.
MIZON Peptide 500: I liked the thin watery texture of this. Easy to layer. It wasn't effective enough for me to want to buy it again. Review here.
Oskia Renaissance Mask: Love this. My staple exfoliating mask without being drying. Review here. Hero product for me. I lost count how many jars I've gone through.
Sisley Paris Eau Efficace: This is a nice makeup remover. Too pricey for what it is for me to buy it alone. I happily use it when it comes in my Sisley subscription box.
Omorovicza Copper Peel: I love this quick peel. It's mild enough yet works. Has sage oil so it smells lovely. I like the lactic acid part of it. Review here. Hero product.
Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial: I have a full size of this. This is a powerhouse exfoliating mask. Very strong. Be careful. I love it, hero product for me. Review here.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum: This was nice. Hydrating serum that had a grape oil smell.
Fresh Sugar Face Polish: This is one of my favorite masks of all time. It's been something I've had consistently in my house for at least ten years. It's hydrating. Talked about it some here. Hero product.
Clarins Super Restorative Total Eye Concentrate: This was OK. Nothing bad to say about it. Medium hydration. Seemed gentle-no scents, like it would be non irritating for anyone.
Zelens Daily Defense: I love this sunscreen. Love the encapsulated technology of the chemical sunscreens. It's too hydrating for me now that I live in Texas. In Montana I could slather this one no issues, here in Texas it's just way too much unless it's winter. Even if I use it in lieu of a face cream. I need this in a lotion Zelens! Talked about it here and here.
Perricone Md Multi-Action Overnight Treatment: This was OK. I like pretty much everything Perricone. This one didn't stand out to me like some of the other products. It was a light cream in texture but felt slightly too heavy.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye: Eh, finishing my last sample jar of this up now. It's too light for night for me. Got a very silicone texture and it's not doing anything for me.
Tata Harper Aromatic Stress Treatment: I love Tata's aromatic oils. The Stress version is a floral earthy scent. I like it. It's hard for me to layer these with my fragrances so you have to use this instead of fragrance, or at night. If I use it at night I prefer their bedtime version.
Surratt Expressioniste Brow Pencil Rechargeable Holder and Refill Blonde: I like this skinny pencil. It's a touch dark for blonde. I love the refill capabilities. It's a hard pencil so you need to warm it on your hand first or press harder. Talked about it here.
Armani Black Ecstasy Mascara: I like the original Classic Eye to Kill better. But this one is nice. This version is blacker and more intense. I like the easy volume of the classic better.
Zelens Z Matrix: I love this gel cream. It's not enough alone for me, so I layer it in the winter under day creams. It's a bit too much to layer in the summer as it's pretty hydrating. Review here.
Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V 1970: This is the original version of the P50 in the sensitive version. The one that has phenol in it. It does numb your face it's a very odd feeling. And instead of smelling like vinegar like the P50 I just reviewed. This version smells like Chloraseptic, which makes sense as phenol is the active ingredient in the sore throat numbing spray. I like the scent of this one better as vinegar is always hard to get used to.
Byredo Gyspy Water: I love this light fragrance. Byredo has some good simple clean light scents I like. I just bought a full size.
Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Skin Illuminating Foundation Medium EF 06: This was OK. The shade worked out OK for me too. It's medium coverage with a satin finish. It wasn't different enough from what I had to make me want to run out and buy a full size. I prefer more light coverage foundations with more skincare benefits.
Josie Maran MILK Intensive Hydrating Treatment: This was OK. Hydrating like a milky oil serum.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue: I was really into the samples I got for a while. It's pretty hydrating actually. I like it and will happily use the samples when they come my way. But I have a few other eye creams I like more like Omorovicza Gold Eye Cream.
WHAMSIA Organic Flowers Toner Deep Rich: This is a hydrating slippery toner with more of an essence feel. It's nice there's so many of these types of serums it's hard for me to say yes I would grab this one.
CHANEL Hydra Beauty Micro Serum: Eh, I love Chanel but this one is just OK. Too perfume scented and the serum is a like a really like watery serum with some moisture from bits of oil. It's lightly hydrating, I can't get past the scent.
Chanel Le Lift Serum: I liked this Chanel serum better. It was a nice serum. Too small of samples to be able to see what it can do performance wise. Just enough to text out the texture and scent.
Estee Lauder New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum: This is a light serum with a silicone slippery texture. It was OK.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream: I love this cream every time I use it. It's a light fresh cream. It has a medium hydration level. It reminds me of Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve cream.
HACCI Aqua UV SPF 50+: This was nice. like a lotion, no white cast. Not greasy.
Cle De Peau Beaute Radiant Fluid Foundation O20: This sample was too light for me, I needed O30. I did buy a full size of it and more to come.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation 5.5: This is a classic foundation. It's too much for me since I moved to Texas, too hydrating. I still have some samples and I use one now and then.
Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream: I like this fresh light cream as well. Just very fresh, hydrating and nice.
Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre: This was the heavier version. It's too much for summer for me. It's a bit heavier of a cream.
June Jacobs Age Defying Copper Complex: I really liked this cream. It's medium weight but not greasy. Could be good for day in the winter/spring or for night in the summer for me.
Peter Thomas Roth Acne-Clear Invisible Dots: Love these types of acne dots. I prefer Skyn Icelands version. Review here.
LINDSAY Energizing Gold Modeling Mask: I wanted to like this, I had a hard time figuring out how to mix this well in the pouch so it got lumpy. It was hydrating on. I think it's just going to take some skill to get used to how to do modeling masks.
Skyn Iceland Hydro Firming Eye Gels: I've been testing these out for a bit. They're decently priced for eye masks. They're hydrating. More to come.
Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss 119 Bourgeoisie: I was excited to test the new Chanel gloss formula. It's thinner and less sticky than the Glossimers, very glossy. This shade is a shimmery mauve. It was a bit gritty actually.
IGK 30,000 Feet Volume Shampoo & Conditioner: This was OK. It didn't leave an impression on me one way or the other.
Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask: I love this mask. It's not greasy or slippery full of silicones. It's hydration without weight. Has a warm nutty scent. I would buy it again.
HASK Coconut Monoi Oil Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner: This was OK. A very hydrating shampoo & conditioner. Too much for me.
