For Holiday 2015 Armani had it's Luxe is More Collection. They added a few new shades of the Lip Maestro. I've never tried the Lip Maestro because the shades were all matte creamy shades and I tend to be a pearl to shimmer lip fan. I saw #508 or Pearly Nude and thought it was time to try one.
Per Armani's website: "Giorgio Armani introduces Lip Maestro, the first lip stain with a comfortable velvety texture and a radiant finish. Lips appear instantly plumped and radiant. The sensual, non-sticky texture offers hours of hydration and comfort. Concentrated pigments permeate the gel formula, offering Intense, seductive, illuminating color. 'With Lip Maestro, we wanted to create pure, vibrant colors that fit with every complexion. Outstanding, luxurious colors enhanced in a luminous matte formula'."
The retail is $38. This has a red cap and sponge tip applicator. I found it thick enough to cover well yet it feels lightweight and not heavy. It's cushy and comfortable to wear. The finish is a semi matte. It's not glossy nor a dry matte. It felt really moisturizing at first, but as the day went on I found it to be drying. Because of it's moister consistency it wore off faster, therefore it needed to be reapplied every two hours or so. I noticed this shade tended to look best after one application. With more than one application it started to settle in lip lines and around where my lips met in the middle. It did best when wiped off then reapplied every time. I'm not sure if that was just this shade or all shades as this is the only color I've tried.
This shade is not really nude, it's a pearly pink. The pink is not a bright or cool pink, it's a neutral light to medium pink. It's maybe a touch darker than my natural lip color. So it didn't wash me out. I would have preferred a more nude shade, I'm not really into the pinks like this. This could be nude for some, just not my kind of nude. I wasn't a fan of the drying way it felt after wearing for a whole day. It was nice for a few hours. I probably wouldn't try another shade in the future. Granted this is less drying than a regular matte lipstick, though I prefer Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipstick over this. They both have a semi matte finish but Charlotte Tilbury's lasts longer and when you reapply it it looks better overall than this did.
