August Boxwalla Beauty Subscription Box

Boxwalla is a new subscription box to me. I've heard of it yet never tried it. It's a bi-monthly subscription box. They have this beauty box as well as other types of boxes like books. Boxwalla has a neat concept:

Green beauty products often get the bad rap of being boring & ineffective. The Beauty Box challenges that notion and lets you experience the most effective and nutrient-rich beauty products we have experienced. Always cruelty-free.

The August Beauty Box theme is Summer Comes Softly. It contains three full size products that soften summer skin in three different ways. You can choose to either subscribe to this bi-monthly box or do one time purchases. The bi-monthly subscription is $49.95 and the single purchase is $54.95. So the difference is $5 to not have to subscribe if you don't want to. I love that you can choose. I just did a one time purchase for this box. The retail value is an amazing $131 for this August box. Plus how cute is that box it comes in?

Inside is:

I was most excited to try the Odacite Oleosomes cream. I've tried their oils in the past and I love the natural quality to their oils. This Olesomes cream comes packaged in a sleek black glass pump bottle. Perfect for me. The texture is like a lotion. It has an off white cream color to it. This sinks in and feels like a lotion. It's moderately hydrating and easy to layer. It's not a lightweight serum nor is it a heavier cream. It's in-between. This is a full size bottle that normally retails for $68 so you earned your money back right there if you have been dying to try this like me.

There's also an Odacite a Pa + G oil for hyper-pigmentation. I am excited to start using this I just haven't gotten around to it yet. The lip scrub seemed so nice in the description and it smells and looks divine. The sugar crystals are however very large--like raw sugar. The oils holding it together are also very minimal so this tends to crumble apart a little when I scoop it out. It doesn't hold together in a very cohesive way while I scrub my lips. It was just a dry texture overall. It works but I much prefer my Fresh sugar lip scrub.

This was a great box overall even though I wasn't a fan of the lip scrub. I'll have to keep my eye on Boxwalla and see what future beauty boxes hold. There are still a few of these boxes available for single purchase HERE.
