Time for the August Samples & Empties Post. Quick thoughts about each starting above. Sorry this is so late, I got kind of burned out on these for a while but am back to get a few posts out.
La Bella Figura Gentle Enzyme Cleanser: I liked this thin gel cleanser. It uses enzymes to gently exfoliate the skin. I loved this as a second cleanse. Review HERE. I liked it but I'm not into gel cleansers as much as more oil based ones so I probably wouldn't grab it again just for that reason. If you like gels it's nice.
Siam Seas YEN Heal and Hydrate Toner: I loved this thin essence. It has such a nice thin toner like texture. It has oils mixed in it so it's pretty hydrating. The scent is so divine. I talked about it HERE. I would use this if I had more.
ESPA Purifying Micellar Cleanser: I liked this. I used it to remove eye makeup. It wasn't drying but it did sting my eyes a little when I used it so it would not be one I would repurchase.
Vintner's Daughter Active Treatment Essence: I liked the idea of this and the thin texture. The vinegar scent is a bit too strong for me. I liked it but it's one I probably wouldn't repurchase. Review HERE.
3RIFIC Radiance Revitalizing Cream: I liked this cream. It's light and kind of light and bouncy in texture. Review HERE.
Mad Hippie Vitamin A Serum: I adored this retinol serum. It's super affordable, has a nice slippery hydrating thin texture and it works. It uses my favorite HPR retinol and I would totally buy this again.
Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Mask: I love the light refreshing cucumber scent and creamy base. I'm not a huge fan of the seaweed texture in this one. It's actually one of the only Fresh masks I'm not fully into.
Herbivore Coco Rose: My all time favorite body scrub. It deposits the right amount of oil and has a light coconut and rose scent. I go through one a month and it's divine. Review HERE.
Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum: I really enjoyed this serum. It has a super light hydrating texture. I would repurchase it. Review HERE.
TATCHA Supple Moisture Rich Silk Cream: I loved this cream. I don't think you can get it anymore but I would totally grab it if they did release it again. It's my favorite heavier weighted cream by the brand.
La Bella Figura Curative Cleansing Balm: This was from the Capsule Collection set. This cleansing balm is a bit softer and lighter in texture than The Clean Slate. I like it better actually. I would totally purchase this if they launched it on its own. Review HERE.
Paula's Choice Resist Omega+ Complex Serum: I loved this creamy serum. It's packed with barrier repair and skin loving ingredients. I actually finished it off as my daughters day lotion in the summer. Review HERE.
MISSHA AQUA Sun Gel: I loved the texture of this one. Super light gel. The alcohol was too drying for me and the scent was a bit high. I finished it on my body happily.
Moss The L4B Honey Cleanser: This was from the Moss limited edition launches. It was OK, not my ultimate favorite. It kind of separated after a bit. I liked the oil balm cleanser much better.
IGK Jet Lag: I love IGK. The dry shampoo is pretty good, not too heavy or powdery nor too drying. It's also got no white cast. Review HERE. I would repurchase.
Oribe Apres Beach: I used to love this for years. It was my first wave spray and I went through three at least. It is nice but it's a little oily so it's easy to overdo it. I like it but it's been one I find myself using less and less as the years go by.
IGK Hot Girls Hydrating Conditioner: I liked this sample a lot. It was a nice hydrating but not heavy conditioner.
Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream: They make nice hand creams. I liked this one quite a bit.
Cleo & Coco Charcoal Deodorant Basil Mint: This one was too hard of a texture for me. It was like ripping my armpits off. It has been redone to be a bit softer. I talked about it HERE.
Bliss Rose Gold Rescue Gentle Moisture Cream: I actually used this entire tub of cream up. It's lightweight and was a great gentle night cream for my daughter in the summer.
Nubian Heritage Hand & Body Scrub: I love the Nubian body scrubs. I like sugar scrubs and they have enough oils but not too much. The scrub is not too harsh either. The vetiver one is my favorite.
Rita Hazan True Color Ultimate Shine Gloss Breaking Brass: I love this stuff. A slightly purple glossing foam to remove brassiness from hair and add a slight sheen. I use it 3x/week and I love that it's not too strong of a purple tint. It just adds a nice shine and keeps my hair color lasting longer. It's become a hero product. On a side note I always got this at Sephora but it's not on there anymore. I hope it's not going anywhere or I'll die.
Dear, Klairs Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pad: I love these cotton pads. They have two styles a spongy one good for thicker toners and essences and a harder thin pressed cotton pad that's great for liquid toners. I love these because they don't eat up a lot of extra product. Easily my favorite pads out of all the ones I've tried. Review HERE.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask: I liked this. I like the cooling jelly feel and texture. I also love that it's a two piece mask which makes the fit better. Apparently I can't find this in stock anymore so maybe it's discontinued?
MCoBeauty FibreLash Mascara: I wanted to love this but I'm just not into the fibre lashes much. It was OK but I didn't end up using all of it.
La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-In-Lotion: A nice thicker texture cream but the fragrance is too powerful for me.
Sunday Forever Le' Coco Lip: I liked this. It has a nice light coconut scent and light texture. It's not super long lasting but it's nice.
Kiss Me Honey Coconut Lip Balm: I actually really enjoyed this lip balm. It's fairly affordable and the texture was really good. Not too light or greasy. A good solid balm I would purchase again.
Naturallogic Oceanic Sea Nutrient Mask: This is a thinner gel textured hydrating mask. It got discontinued.
Kat Burki Super Peptide Firming Creme: I liked this. Nice thick texture, thicker than the vitamin C cream and more hydrating but similar. Same light cucumber scent that I love from the brand. It's almost a little heavier than I prefer so I like the Vitamin C one more.
La Mer The Eye Concentrate: I actually really like this eye cream. It's one of my my favorite La Mer items ever. It's quite nice. Perfect texture and it does help with dark circles a little.
SkinMedica Ultra Sheer Moisturizer: This is such a nice light lotion, fragrance free. Good light choice.
Poetic Blend The Cosmic Serum: I liked this hydrating serum. The brand is not around anymore right now.
OKOKO Les 16 Precieux Oil: I love the brand and I actually got a big one of this oil. It's nice. More to come one day.
Sunday Forever Coconuts Perfume: This is a nice basic coconut scent. Not too sweet but has a nice overall coconut scent. I ultimately like Ava Luxe & Heeley better as they're more complex.
